Hi Everyone!

Go**** seems like it's been forever since I've been here but I do at least check in and read most every day.  I am just so busy with living in two different cities and getting everyone moved in to where they need to be.  I finally got two of my cats moved to Chelsea last week!  I think that means I'm totally moved down there.  I'm getting used to the working in Midland 3 days a week and Chelsea 2 days.

Anyways, I just wanted to let you know my son's stuff has been submitted to Aetna for a hopefull approval for surgery!!  Keep you fingers crossed or say a prayer for us if you will.  He's been waiting since he was 15 to have this surgery when he came to begging me to help him and how he had researched WLS and he needed my help.  It broke my heart.  Of course we had to wait until he turned 18 and all of last year he went to our PCP documenting attempted weight loss.

Hopefully we will here shortly that he has been approved and we can schedule his surgery for when he is on Christmas break from college!!

My other son is finishing up his documentation next week and we will be submitting his paperwork!!  Wouldn't that be great if they could both be approved and have surgery on the same day!!  That's what we are hoping for - sometime in December when they both our on break from college classes.

I'll let you know when we hear fron insurance!!

Hi Edie!

Thanks for asking, she is doing well!  Down 78.5 lbs!  I just saw her this weekend and she was telling me she had to go buy new jeans again - this time size 12!  So she's gone from a 22 to a size 12 since May 10th.  I'm very proud of her because she works hard each day at getting in her protein and her water.  She's always telling me 'mom, this is the best thing I ever did was have this surgery'.  It makes me happy she was able to have it when she was so young and I'm hoping my son's can experience the same thing.  They both meet all of the requirements - so I'm hoping for both to be approved.  Then, I'm done with surgeries for a while - LOL.!  Except next April my son will get to have his jaw surgery that didn't happen this summer as expected.

Take care Edie!

Best of luck Nan for getting approval for both your boys.  I hope it all works out as planned for them and they can begin their incredible journey!
