Scope Results

Updating from my last post of going to the ER last week.

Yesterday I had my scope done.  The totally put me out!!!  Wooo Hooo!!!!  Anyway, they did the scope, there was NO ulcer, but there was some erosion and they had to dialate the opening at the bottom of my pouch.  They also took 2 biopsies from the esophagus and 1 from my stomach.  I won't know the results of that for a week or two. Just praying it all come back fine.  I just want to know what is causing all the pain everyday though.  I was sure that there was an ulcer there, but I guess I was wrong.  They must suspect something if they did the biopsies, but they didn't tell me anything.  I even asked and she just said, since I am having so much pain and some bleeding they wanted to cover the basis while they were in there.  So we will see.  

I am on Prilosec right now and of course my insurance won't cover the OTC kind and the prescription one is delayed release and we can't take those kind of meds.  So I am screwed with the cost of the OTC Prilosec.  But There is a coupon for Costco for $7.00 off this month, so I am gonna go get some next payday.  I have enough to get me through till then.

I will be praying that you get an answer to your pain and will be praying that all can be taken care of quickly.

I'm glad there was no ulcer, but I'm sure erosion hurts a bit too.  My guess is erosion will be easier to take care of.  Hopefully between the Prilosec and dialating your pyloric valve, your pain will start to subside soon.
