Sooooo anxious!!
I am so lost. We were suppose to submit in August, now my "pic" is telling me that i may need to change insurance plans, like from Total to Omni. Then i find out I now have Medicare as well. Not over 65 but i guess from me working the past 10 years ????? Im not concerned with that, My thing is, is I have medicaid, and now Medicare, will I have both and why does it make a difference which is primary?? She says if the medicare is primary, then im good,
Does anyone have any experience with this. Typically in this situation, is the medicare billed primary? I know I will get no sleep tonite :(

Medicaid is always the last insured, Medicare wants to be, but Medicaid will always be 2nd to Medicare.
Good luck,

I did get some sleep last nite, lol :) Well, guess ill be waiting til Monday to see what happens next. My "pic" said if I have Medicare, im good, theyll pay 80% is that where Medicaid comes in??
Yes, Medicare always pays 80% for covered charges after your deductible (although I believe your Medicaid would cover that). Just make sure your provider 'participates' with both Medicare and the Medicaid plan your on.

The provider I'm speaking of is the physician and the hospital....in other words the one's providing services.
