Hi everyone....TGIF!!!!

1)  What song is motivating you these days? Can't really think of one in particular but I've been listening to a lot of Carrie Underwood...love her!

2)  Do  you decorate for the fall? indoors or outdoors?  Not a whole lot like I used to when the kids were little.  Maybe some pumpkins on the porch.

3)  Have you visited your local farmers market lately? do you buy anything to freeze for the winter?  Love going to the farmer's market.  But no, haven't been buying stuff to freeze.  Hmmmmn....the squash sounds good....I may be doing some freezing this weekend!

4) Any fall vacations planned?  Not really since we just got back from a 2 week vacation to California.  We are planning a long weekend to Chicago maybe in Nov or early Dec.

5) What's up for the weekend?  chelsea football game tonight and hanging ou****ching college football tomorrow!  We plan on making homemade french onion soup and spinach dip and having a lazy day.

Have a great weekend everyone!

1)  I've been listening to old folkies and trying to remember lyrics to some bluegrass tunes.

2)  Michigan decorates for me, I just look on.

3)  I keep thinking I'll blanch and freeze tomatoes but I eat them instead.  Several area markets to choose from when the motivation hits.

4)  Nope, maybe a drive to a Great Lakes beach or an overnight camping trip without mosquitos.

5)  Weekend, already?  Laundry and cleaning and fun, I think.

Good morning all!

Friday! Friday! Friday!  So glad it's Friday!  It's been such a busy week at work, I'm just looking forward to silence for a change.

1)  What song is motivating you these days?
I don't think I have anything specific. But I've discovered the KLove radio station and I'm loving the uplifting message of everything they're playing.  It's been a long time since I found a Christian radio station that had music I loved. I'm making a conscious effort to avoid listening to the news (which is hard working in the media department) - instead I'm just letting this music fill my soul and give me the calm I need right now.

2)  Do  you decorate for the fall? indoors or outdoors?
LOL! I let my oak tree do the decorating. Actually I do have a beautiful fall wreath that I should dig out and hang on my door. And I've wanted to plant mums for a few years now, so maybe this year.

3)  Have you visited your local farmers market lately? do you buy anything to freeze for the winter?
Yes, I was in Clare this past weekend and stopped at a roadside farm stand -- got apples and squash. Yum! There's also the Oakland Count Farmer's Market right next to my office building, so I try to get over there at least once a week. I don't usually freeze stuff for winter cuz I'm too lazy.

4) Any fall vacations planned?
I'm planning a shopping trip in Mackinaw the third weekend of October. That's the big discount weekend when all the shops mark all their stuff down 50-75% off ... a lot of them close down for the winter after this weekend. So it'll be a day or two away for me and some bargain shopping. I'm also considering doing the fall color train trip (out of Mt. Pleasant I think) - need to look into that and get booked though.

5) What's up for the weekend?
I'm planning to be chained and duct taped to my computer chair for as many hours as it takes to finish the book. I feel like I'm behind schedule and my self-imposed writing deadline is actually Monday. We'll see how well I do tonight and tomorrow on chugging through the last sections that need attention.

*IF* I am in good shape by Sunday I want to head out to Port Austin for my annual pilgrimage to the park where I made the decsion to have WLS 4+ years ago. It's a time for me to sit quietly with my thoughts and recommit myself to the process and evaluate how I've done in the past year and what goals I want to set for the coming year.  If I don't go this weekend, then it'll be a few more weeks before I have a free day to go. I usually go in August, but missed my chance for that with other plans getting in the way.

Have a good weekend all!
Pam

2)  Do  you decorate for the fall? indoors or outdoors?  Nope, I would if I had more time and I appreciate others who do!

3)  Have you visited your local farmers market lately? do you buy anything to freeze for the winter?  I am only 5 weeks out from surgery, so no farmer's markets right now.

4) Any fall vacations planned?  My husband's dad lives in New York, so I would like to go out there around Thanksgiving

5) What's up for the weekend?  Cleaning and Laundry...and a small party at a friend's house on Sat.  Lazy days hopefully.
