Good Morning!

I don't consider Labor Day the end of the summer because there is so much left . .

QOTD:       Do you have big weekend plans?

I am working days at Consumers and waiting tables on Saturday night . . but in my down time I will be home alone  . .

Whatever you do be safe this weekend!

Labor Day does officially close the door to summer for me, since it's back-to-school time and life settles down into the usual routine.  But I love when the nice weather lingers... and I love our Indian summers that arrive in October.

QOTD:  This weekend is the Romeo Peach Festival, so we will try to get over there sometime this weekend.  My in-laws are coming for dinner on Saturday, which means a big rush to clean the house so that I don't have to worry about dust bunnies!!  Other than that, taking it easy, hanging out around the house, trying to stay active.  And putting in time in the wicker chair on my front porch!!

 Linda,
Don't forget to clean out your microwave.  MIL's notoriously look in those! ;)

HA!  The microwave .... and I always worry about the dusty top of my kitchen cabinets, as if she is going to haul out a ladder and check up there... hasn't happened yet!  But the microwave.... well, I guess it does need cleaning.

My oldest daughter got married yesterday.  It was at the court house in Flint.  It was short and to the point.  I am glad they got married.  They have been together for over 3 years.  He is a pretty decent guy and my grandbabies love him (not their biological dad).  We went out for pizza afterwords.  No real honeymoon but he has the weekend off and the grandbabies are here tonight.  I guess that will have to do.

I finally found my son a car.  It was a long and wearing hunt.  We found a 94 roadmaster.  It is a real boat but he loves it.  He already put a Green Bay Packer sticker on it.  He went out to the movies and to the football game last night so I am sure all of his friends have seen it.  He was funny. When we were looking at cars he said he did not want an "old people car"  but his is the ultimate "old people car" .  We bought it from a nice old lady who bought it from a nice old man.  It even has a remote start on it and they kept every receipt for everything they ever done to the car.  That part is real nice.

Nothing but work left for me over the weekend.

Have a good one.

That IS a big, sturdy, powerful car....that OLD people drive.  LOL!  My mom and her hubby (in their 70's) have one.  It is a BOAT!!  I drove it from TN to MI a few summers ago.   But I would feel comfortable that he will be safe!

I get to spend the weekend with an upper respiratory infection.  Bah Humbug.

Other than that I have to finish prepping two of my batiks for a show next week,  start two paintings and complete three landscape paintings.

I USED to think Labor Day was the end of summer, while I was teaching, because it meant I had to go back to work!  But since I quit, my perspective has changed.  There are 3 full weeks of summer left, even though it really doesn't feel like it today!  Now, closing the pool is the end of summer (except those years we procrastinate and don't close it until Oct/Nov....not that we're using it until then...just being lazy! )

The only PLANS we have are to go to the Detroit Zoo.  I hope we don't regret that plan since Arts, Beats and Eats is going on, too.

Enjoy the weekend!
