Thinking of visiting there after Cincy this weekend - can anyone give me some feedback? is it worth the extra drive or is it about like a Bass Pro Shop??
Hubby is a HUGE deer hunter and since his birthday is next week I thought he would enjoy!

Be happy.

Its definitely worth it.  The place is HUGE.  Live fish in ponds inside the building and awesome displays.  I was impressed by it.

and i am not even a hunter or a fisher :)

Just like Bass Pro Shop's in my opinion, definitely not worth the drive from Cinci, how far out of the way is it for you?  I've been to Cabela's once, but I live 5 miles from Bass Pro......Cabela's may be a bit bigger, may, but not worth driving out of you way for, again JMO.

not even close to bass pro

If you like nature and sports stuff in a wide variety it is definitely worth checking it out one time.

It is however  not the place to go if your looking for deals but it is the place to go if your looking for different. and out doorsie. more like the woodsie Hunter fishermen, camper, haven!

They have a restaurant upstairs so you could do lunch on your way home.

I agree with Edie.  I've been to both Cabela's and Bass Pro.  In my opinion, they were the same.  The Bass Pro Shop had the big displays of animals, live fish in ponds, etc.  Just like Cabela's.  We live about an hour from both and my hunting husband was just as happy at BPS as he was at Cabela's.  If you've been to a large BPS, then I doubt the extra 4 hour drive to Cabela's from Cincinnati would be worth it.  Unless you are just looking for something to do and REALLY are into outdoors and hunting.
