All of you are great. I cannot believe the support I have been receiving here and yet people I have known for years are angry. Oh well that is not my problem it is there.

Now that I have a date I have so many quesstions. I have an appointment at my surgeons office that I arrive at 11 and won't get done till 5pm. I am uncertain what is going on. Does anyone have a clue??

Dr Foote asked if some visitng surgeons observe my surgery. He says he has surgeons from all over the world come to learn his techniques. I told him that's fine but no touching!!!

Congrats Erin...It won't be long now!

Your next appointment at GHP sounds like it is your pre-op where they go through everything prior to surgery.  You will meet with the nutritionist, purchase food for your 2 week pre surgical diet, meet with the exercise guy and the PA too.  Most of the time it is a group session so there are other people there so it does take a little time.

When I went in there were only 2 of us, and we were both Dr. Kemmeter patients having the exact same surgery one day apart.  Who knows, you might meet someone there going through the same thing as you...It's always nice to meet new people :)

Good Luck :)

Congrats! I used to be in Michigan, and Dr. Foote did my surgery six years ago. Good luck to you! I took three weeks off after my surgery; the one thing I'll say is I was really tired after my surgery and going back to work kind of drained me at first. Took me awhile to get back in the swing of things. And I did have some pain and a minor infection in one of my incisions. I got sick on the antibiotics.

Dr. Foote is great and so are his PAs.

Hey Erin

I go in to GHP next Wednesday for my last round of pre-op appointments and to get my 2 week pre-op food supply.  I'll let you know what it's like.  Kind of getting nervous now that my surgery is only 2 1/2 weeks away!

Thanks Kristy. I am excited and nervous all at once. However have not doubted my decision.
I am comfortable with that.
Now I have to find someone to take me to the hospital

Congratulations!  I'm currently 12 days post-op (VSG).   Dr. Foote did my surgery to and I've been very happy with my care.

I too was excited and nervous before surgery.......it's a big step and so of course there are always jitters.

Good Luck!

That is good to hear.  It  helps to hear from those who have had the same surgeon.
Good luck and I will join you soon on the losers bench
