Jen Allen

To the Michigan board,
WLS lost Jen Allen this past weekend. I don't know the details except the services will be:

Sunday 2-9 visitation, Monday 12-1 visitation with the funeral at 1 o clock . Dryer funeral Home in Holly Mich.

She was a star on this board and a good friend to all.

Wow, Kevin.  I haven't heard her name in a while.  And this is certainly not the way I thought I would hear about her again!  That's very sad.  I always wanted to go to one of her big BBQ's but was never able to make it.

I have to say this is an absolute shock. She was doing well from what I hear. She has parties scheduled and was being the typical Jen Allen all knew.
I still laugh when I relate the story of her at the casino when she forgot her surgery card.  She was a trip.
I had Tony, Connie and Jen along with many others walk me along 6 years ago. Maryvonne and Laurie were there. Jen helped me find my best buddy Jon. The BBQ and gatherings were special.
I'm better for knowing her although I wish I had done a better job in keeping in touch. I miss her.

Oh wow, that's a big surprise. Didn't she move to Texas? I went to one of her BBQ when I was in Michigan ... it was one of the first big get-togethers I attended. She was such a nice person. I'm so sorry to hear this ... more details, please, when you hear them. I'm in Louisiana now, so I can't get to the funeral, but I'd be interested in knowing cause of death and when she died.

 Oh Wow - That is a shock. I am so sorry to hear that. She was always trying to do things to support people and keep people motivated and connected. If you get more details please let us know. My prayers go out to her family.

I am in total shock... still can't quite believe it. Kevin do you know if some of the old people from the board are going to the visitation?

I believe there are. I can't remember who I spoke to outside of Jon. I will be there.

I hardly EVER come on here anymore and the first thing I see is Jen Allen passed????  I gave her a kitty once just before one of the first BBQs.  What a shame.

Mel,  Long time!  I can't believe what I just read.  I just came on here for the first time in years.  Did anyone ever find out what happened?  Can you message me your contact information?  I'd love to catch-up!
