Fresh berries

I read on the daily thread that many of you eat fresh berries.   I love them, but they do a number on my tummy.  I got strawberries, and after the third day of having some, I got really sick.  Could be the seeds?

I'm afraid of raspberries because of the seeds, but maybe I'll try some and not eat them every day to see what happens.  Blueberries do not seem to bother me.

Let me know what you think?

Thanks,
Pat R.

Hi Pat,

I have been on a berry kick lately.  I love fresh berries and Kroger has been alternating having blackberries and raspberries 10 for $10.  I buy them and mix them with Carbmaster yogurt.

I wonder if you mix them with something rather than just plain berries if they would agree with your tummy better?  I do know of all the berries I've eaten, strawberries are the ones that I can only eat a few of.  Blackberries, raspberries and blueberries I can eat a whole lot of and they don't seem to bother me.

Nan

How do they make you sick?  Instead of doing them everyday, maybe you can alternate.

They give me a bad tummy ache and diarreha (sp)......I forget from year to year that I can't eat them every day....duh.   I am going to try black berries -- I pretty much stick to a small banana or oranges, and cantalope for my fruit.

Thanks,
Pat R.
