Hey all!

What's in your cup this morning?

I'm already beyond my morning protein iced coffee and my fake latte. Enjoying a breakfast of yogurt with fresh blackberries. Yummmmm...

QOTD -- How was the long holiday weekend?  Did you do anything fun and exciting?

Hi everyone,

Trying to make it through quarter close. Been working a lot of hours but did take the weekend off from wor****il last night.  Went to a Loon's ball game and Steve and I took the girls shopping Saturday morning to get their dresses for the wedding!

OMG....the heat is a bit much for me since I don't have central air in my house.  We have it in Steve's house but not mine so sleeping last night was almost unbearable!

Tina - I bet you're loving this weather!!  I like it more in the 80's than 90's. It's the humidity I don't like.

Pam - I love putting blackberries in my yogurt!  Kroger's has their blackberries 10 for $10 ! I bought a bunch yesterday.

Have a great day everyone!

Nan

Suppose I should answer my own QOTD, huh?

I painted all weekend.  Ok.... well, it was ALL painting. It was cleaning and getting ready to paint, then painting and cleaning up afterward.  It was a bit too hot to be doing so much work without AC - what was I thinking?!  But it's done and my living room is super adorable.  And now I've got plans for more little decorating projects.  (I wrote about it in the blog this morning if you want all the details and ramblings.)

Afternoon Pam and all,

My tummy has not been happy today.  It got a bit wacky yesterday (not really sure why) and this AM I could not even finish my breakfast protein shake.  Tried my iced tea a little later and that didn't sit well either, so I just stopped everything for an hour or so then slowly sipped some water, that did ok, so I had a yogurt w/ a bit of go-lean crunch for lunch and that's sitting well, so hopefully I'm getting over this.

Q:  Friday we had a party w/ fireworks, to prepare for the party we worked every night last week (cleaning one night, mowing 2 nights.....) so Saturday was clean up after the party then be big ole' slugs!  The rest of the weekend was toooooo hot to want to be outside so we pretty much stayed in the house.

Have a great day all, and try to stay cool,
Edie

Hello Everyone !   Wow, is it a warm one today, I had to break down and turn on the a/c in our house, hubby doesn't like it but pugs need it and that is the only reason he agrees to have it on.

We had a great weekend !  Saturday afternoon golf, then went to friends house on the lake for supper and to watch all the people with money shoot off their illigal fireworks, lots of dollars going up in the air there.  On Sunday we went to breakfast on our Motorcycles and from there decided to go to Hell !  Yes, Really, Hell Michigan, we had never been there and wanted to ride but didn't want to go where all the tourists are for the holiday, so we went further inland.  We didn't have good directions so it took us 6 hours to get there, with on hour stop for rest and liquids.  Then it took us 3 hours to get home, we didn't get home until 10:00 pm.  We don't normally ride after dark, we prefer daylight hours, to many deer in this state!  The roads were great, the traffic was low, we had a great time.  Stopped in Hell at Damn Site Inn for supper and then headed home.  Yesterday we took a short ride then sat home and played GIN on our deck.  Really enjoyed doing mostly nothing preplanned !

Have  a great day everyone, drink extra water today!

At our party we blew well over 800.00's worth up (one of hubby's coworkers donated 500.00, bless him).

I had coffee...way earlier this morning and another cup just about 30 minutes ago.  I had to get up and head out this AM because I had a dentist appt.  My MIL was going to watch Dub at our house but decided to go along so we could do a little shopping.  We were in Canton, on Ford Rd.  Anyway, was a new dentist this AM and there was a mix up with my insurance (didn't know I had to change my primary dental office to the new one).  So, I rescheduled and we went to Buy Buy Baby and then out for lunch.

We've been loving fresh blueberries, lately.  Dub would eat them 24/7 if I'd let him.

Yes, NAN, I'm LOVING this weather!  This is what I wait for all winter!!

QOTD:  We had a great weekend.  Went to Hillsdale on Saturday.  Fireworks, etc on Saturday night.  Sunday, we went out on the lake then to my brother's for ribs and corn on the cob and played some cards.  Monday, we went home and lounged in the pool most of the day.

Yep, that's where I got my blackberries last night.  Bought 12 packs (just took a whole case off the shelf).  I kept out enough fresh for my yogurt this morning... then I froze the rest.  That'll last me through mid-winter, I'm sure.  I did the same thing a couple weeks ago when raspberries were on sale. And with strawberries a couple months ago.  My freezer is filled with fruit!  :-)

Steve and I went to the Ann Arbor farmer's market on Saturday morning.  OMG, blueberries were $8.00 a quart or $40 a 10 lb box......$40...I couldn't believe it!  All the different booths had 'Try me' signs on one of their quarts of blueberries so I filled up by sampling at each of the vendors and didn't buy and at that price!!   I just can't believe someone would pay $40 for 10 lbs of blueberries.  I was thinking at Jack's Fruit Market they are more like $9.99 for 10 lbs.
