Evan,
I'm sure you didn't mean to offend anyone, but bragging that "Not one needed WLS" does offend me and I'm sure others. Just to let you know I was NEVER going to have this surgery, because I was convinced that I could do it on my own. I did every diet under the sun, I journaled everything that went into my mouth, I exercised 5 x's a week...... But alas, for my health I gave in and had the surgery. Whether you want to believe it or not, there are many of us who have medical conditions that make weight gain unbelievable easy and weight loss, long term, nearly impossible. Personally I have PCOS w/ hirsutism. Look it up, something like 80% of people diagnosed with this are obese, have diabetes, hpb, high cholestrol.... I never used my dx as an excuse, as I said I tried everything I could before having the surgery and I only had the surgery because of my health.
That said, your best bet is to go on the surgical sites.... RNY, Lap band, or the general board, they are VERY active. Do you have any specific questions about our journey, why we chose the type of surgery we did?, ask away, we are here for you. I would also encourage your clients to come on here so they can ask specific questions for their specific issues.
