Tuesday Morning Roll Call

This is my first time starting out our morning post!  I feel like a big girl....  I have been getting up super early to start working so that I can be done by 2:00, since my daughter is out of school now.  We like to go to the beach or just do something fun every day... no big deal, just enjoying summer.

QOTD:  What change post-WLS has surprised you the most?

My Answer:  How sweets just do not call to me anymore at all!  I have no desire to eat sweet things and actually think that most things taste TOO sweet now.  I thought that my sweet tooth would be my downfall (as in the past) and just something I had to live with.... and maybe it will come back, but right now -  it is gone!  And I am enjoying it since I can walk by that cookie or brownie and not have it whisper sweet things in my ear.

Good morning!

Sipping on my fake latte this morning and anticipating a late night at the office.  Last night I stopped at my parents' house to drop off some stuff and found out the cherry tree is ready for picking. I need to find time to get over there in the next day or two for a big harvest... but I got a small bowl last night before I left.  Need to pit those tonight and maybe make a cherry cobbler or something else equally  yummy.

QOTD -- I'm surprised at the friendships I've developed in the bariatric community. So many amazing people and such an awesome level of caring and concern from everyone.

Have a good day all!

Please take a minute to send a message to OBAMA and tell him to get the lead out and put a cork in the BP oil spill situation before more damage can be done.

I am very excited and feel very blessed today!  I just filled out the insurance papers for Prioritity Health insurance that is offered through my new job.  I am so excited!!!!   This means that I will be able to have my surgery in Michigan and I won't have to seek a cheap dangerous means of getting it done else where but I will have to wait a little while but I am excited none the less and now I Know that Elia is going to be ok.

Good Morning (almost afternoon) all !

Deep into my regular work today, I have been behind and trying to get caught up.  Took last friday off to go to Races and have this friday off to cook for my daughters wedding.  I am hoping to get to sit back and relax next week as well as get my flowers planted (they are dying in the containers but no time to plant).

QOTD:  This is a toughie because it has been so long since I had my surgery.  I guess I would have to say that I am surprised at the fact that I have been able to stay lighter, yes I did put a few pounds on the last couple years but dropped them this past year when I set my mind to it!  So the pouch does still work after this long!  I don't diet any more, and that was a constant in my life!

Have a great day !

I am new here. Today I am 4 weeks post op and finally starting to feel human again.

I have been having my challenges with adding new foods and would love advise from anyone and everyone. I hope to get on here daily from here in.

No matter what I eat, it is all too sweet and am really struggling with my protein drinks - they make me ill just to think abotu them. Cant stand pudding, yogurt and all that either - all too sweet. Anyone have any thoughts?

Hope all is well for the rest of you!
