hello......anybody out there
Ok, I know your all out there, I can hear you breathing, LOL....what's up?
Personally I'm glad to be at work. Home ownership can suck at times! Over the weekend we cut down and burned some low branches on trees that I mow under (so I don't have to limbo anymore!), that was a hot and heavy job. Then on Sunday I mowed for 4 hours (we have 1.5 acres). Then my hubby worked on the garden, we're trying to rid ourselves of some nasty bugs that are eating all the leaves and he's trying to kill a groundhog or gopher that is wreaking havoc all over the place. Then Sunday late afternoon I realized that the R.O. system under the sink had been leaking for a awhile....ugg, that thing is soooooo hard to reach (the on counter faucet thingy (can't remember the name of it :) ), it's behind the sinks and getting back there knocks David's back out, so he will be swearing this week! Yikes, we're both glad to be sitting on our butts today.
So how was everyone else's weekend?
Hope your all having a great day,
Edie

I'm at work, trying to look busy. I wish I had something to actually keep me busy!
I didn't do much this weekend....eye appointment and running around.
My brother got out of jail last week, so I went to see him. He is on work release and has a tether thing on. He's going to have his freedom restricted for a very long time.
I'm starving! I forgot my snacks today, so I am just waiting for lunch to get here before I start chewing on a pencil or something!
Have a great day all!
I'm glad your brother's out. I hope he stay's sober, good luck to him.
I hate it when I forget my snacks.....did you get lunch yet or are you working on paper by now!

My mom is going back to TN this week. Not sure how long she'll actually stay down there before her hubby calls us again and says he can't take care of her. Ugh....We don't want to send her back down there, but she's miserable without him and he claims he's feeling better. We shall see. She has Lewy Body disease, which is, as I put it, "Alzheimer's light with a little Parkinson's thrown in for fun". Not to make fun, but that's it in a nutshell. She's not that bad, now. Mostly short term memory issues and her thought processes aren't always clear, which makes day to day living difficult. I think in the future, they are going to HAVE to live here in MI, near us, so we can help take care of her. Or he can stay in TN (he refuses to move to MI) and she can live with me.
Edie, we have 6 dead trees in our yard. A row of Evergreens has died over the past couple of years. AJ finally started cutting them down on Saturday. He wanted to cut them down last summer, but hey, we decided strokes didn't mix well with chainsaws.
That's my day....busy week this week. Lunch with family tomorrow, symphony practice, family dinner (DH has relatives in from NC) on Wednesday, heading to the inlaws Friday for the weekend, aunt and uncles' 40th anniversary party on Saturday and hoping to get the boat out on the lake sometime this weekend.

You crack me up with your terminology and sayings "Alzheimer's light with a little Parkinson's thrown in for fun", and "strokes didn't mix well with chainsaws". I agree, you have to have some levity in life or it gets to harsh! I'm glad AJ's feeling good enough to tackle those things this year.
Wow you've got quite a week ahead of you, go take that nap, you'll need it!

QOTD: I had a great weekend. Saturday I went out to dinner and a comedy club with a group of widows and widowers. Dinner sucked but the comedy show was great. Sunday I went to a graduation party and it was nice to see some of my older aunts and uncles. Most of them are in their mid 70's.
I agree, you have to have a sense of humor when things are rough, otherwise you would loose your sanity.
Hi Edie and everyone!
Just finally signing on and catching up on OH. We had a busy weekend because it was my son's graduation party yesterday. We had another grad party to attend on Saturday.
Tomorrow is my son's jaw surgery so we have to be at the hospital at 5:30 am. Surgery is at 7:30 and will last 4-5 hours. Tonight I am taking him out to dinner for his 'last supper'. Sounds like what I did when I had my bariatric surgery. Not sure where he wants to go yet, he's still thinking about it :-)
