We are in a FOOD rut.  Nothing sounds good for dinner.  Seems like I make the same old things over and over.  I've been perusing some recipes online and thought I'd see what you all are doing for dinner.  I have to go to the store later so, I'm trying figure something out!

I'm always in a food rut, my biggest problem is neither David or I like to cook....you'd think at least one of us would like to cook as much as we like to eat!

I actually did think about shish kabobs.  Famous grilled eggplant?  You must be mistaken.

OMG...Brenda, I am embarrassed to tell you that I read this stupid thing about 4 times before I realized you weren't making "sun-steaks on the grill".  I was like WTH are sun steaks?  DOY!

I may do the stuffed peppers this week.  I forget about them.

BTW, we had shrimp, tortellini and spinach.  Found the recipe on Kraft.com.  AJ really liked it.  I liked it, too, but I may make it with chicken next time.

HA HA HA......I did the exact  same thing Tina.  I was going to ask Brenda what a sun steak was - LOL!!  I have to say I'm impressed Brenda that you have a menu for the whole week!!  I never know what I'm cooking for dinner day to day.  I'm impressed, I need to be more like you and plan!!

Don't be impressed.  I'm a mess.  I plan on Saturday for the upcoming week so I can grocery shop.  But, I have all these weird food issues.  I can only eat what I "feel" like eating.  Usually, what I planned for the day is not what I want to eat, so I have cottage cheese for dinner while the guys eat whatever I make.  Plus, I have to plan around softball and appointments and when I get off work early.  Early days get better dinner, softball days get sandwiches.

Nick has to have a low sodium, low fat diet, so that means I can't make a lot of frozen (meaning "easy") stuff.

I also have to plan two different soups each week for Nick's lunch.  That is what gives me problems.  I have a million soup recipe books, but can never decide which ones to make.

I cooked a bunch of stuff this weekend.  But I didn't eat any of it for dinner tonight.  I went for deli-sliced turkey (Jennie-O peppered turkey), some grapes and a couple cheesesticks. It's my favorite warm-weather meal.

I've got soup and salad for lunches this week.  Did a shrimp, mushroom and wild rice soup that's super delicious.  Salad is just mixed baby greens, matchstick carrots and grapes tomatoes.

I picked a few cherries at my parent's house tonight and want to get a cobbler or something made tonight (but I'm running out of time and steam).  I also made Atkins high protein chocolate chip cookies and had a couple of those for my afternoon snack.
