Hey all,

Its been a while since I posted and asked for prayers for my migraines.  Well after 11 days migraines went away, and turned to major headaches.  After about 7 long weeks or so, they have decided that my bone at the base of my skull is out of place and either pinching a nerve or pressing against something else.  So I am seeing a chiropractor for some great results.  I have never been to one, and had my doubts, but I feel worlds better.

Just when I was looking forward to returning to work, yes that is what I said, I got a call this morning telling me my position was eliminated and the company was downsizing.  Not sure how many was affected this time, but we started with 6 in our office 2 years ago, and now there is only one.  I guess it was a blessing in disguise.  I wasn't happy and now I have to find something different.  Resumes for a local Community Center and 2 school districts went out today.  I have several "in's" at the local community center and it is what interests me the most.  I think I am tired of doing accounting and want something new.  This may give me the chance.

I am taking my life back over.  I want to be healthy and happy again.  Smething that hasn't happened in a long time.  I would say about 6 months after I had surgery and was diagnosed with skin cancer.  Its been rough 2.5 years since.  I am tired of it and not taking it any more.

So, Hello, My name is Pam.  I am looking at restarting my life again.   I had surgery 3 years ago and lost 120 pounds.  I have maintained since then and I am ready to finish to my goal, get healthier and have a new career.  I would love the support of my friends to do this.

Now, I personally am a hot mess, so I can't offer any guidance, but I sure can lend an ear.

Pam:

I see a chiropractor for my headaches and back problems. It has helped tremendously. I also take Topamax for a migraine preventive. I still have some migraines but not as many as before, and they're not as bad. Mine usually hit when the weather is changing ... I can predict the weather with my head and knees and back!

As for layoffs, I really understand. I was out of work for five months before I got my job and now I'm moving to Louisiana to start a new life on a new newspaper ... and I'm 55! Who would have thought anyone would hire this old broken-down lady, but they did. So something is out there for you, too. Good luck.
