Could really use a buddy....
Hi All,
I had surgery May 11th and I could really use a buddy whose at least 6 months out so I can ask questions(seems like I have a new one everyday) I have anxiety and panic and every weird sensation seems to make me worry....so if you have the time and patience I would love to email/text. Thanks so much Chrissy

Hi Chrissy -
Congratulations on your surgery! These first few weeks are some of the hardest --- all the new rules and changes and adjustments are tough to get used to. Plus all the crazy emotions with the raging hormones -- it's a lot to deal with so soon after major surgery. We've all been there and know exactly how you're feeling.
This forum is filled with a lot of amazing people. Please feel free to pepper us with questions (we don't mind). We'll do our best to answer whatever you throw our way. Remember that for every person who asks questions on this forum there are 2 or 3 lurkers who were afraid to ask -- so you're not only helping yourself with the answers, but others too.

Thanks so much Pam! Very good point about others being afraid to ask....never even thought of it! I do have a question today....I have been having pain and discomfort since last night. Taking a deep breath seems to make it worse as do certain positions. I tried scrambled egg with low fat cheese yesterday and im wondering if it was just too much, too soon. Could that have caused it? Have any of you guys experienced something similar? Chrissy

Your pain may be due to gas... you could try a Gas-X strip to see if that helps. But a call to your surgeon's office might be a good idea, too, especially if it has been constant since yesterday. I didn't have the pain that you describe.
I hope everything overall is going well for you.... this is the hardest part to get through, it gets better pretty quickly around week #4.
