Upper Penisula area? anyone?

Hello I would just like to know if there is anyone on here that is from the U.P of Michigan. I haven't had surgery yet, and wasn't given this web-site but I needed to see how ppl are doing e.t.c I'll keep comming here anyways

I was living in Gladstone until I moved in August. I had Dr. English and he did my surgery in August 2008. I have lost 144 pounds but am playing with 5 of those pounds right now and need to make my body start losing again.

Hi.  I'm from Baraga.  I had RNY on March 22, 2010.  I have lost 42 pounds to date and I am very happy with my results.  Dr. English is a great surgeon.  I had zero problems with my surgery and if I was asked if I would do it again, you bet in a minute.  I love my new life!  Feel free to check out my blogs, they might help you feel more at ease.

Not from the UP but grew to love it after visiting my kids who were enrolled at Northern Michigan.  they then lived there while my daughter-in-law taught at Munising High School.  Times being what they were......she was pink slipped so they had to move downstate.  Yep, they are no trolls.  But we all visit as often as possible and this year are hitting the Hiawatha music festival.  I will be exactly 1 month post-op so I'm pretty sure my diet will be significantly different than it was last year!  Good luck with yours.
