Cloudy Saturday

Good Saturday Morning!

What's in your cup this morning?  I started out with a nice cup of protein vanilla tea this morning.

It is a cloudy day looking outside the window here at work . . what's it like in your neighborhood?

QOTD- Did  you meet your personal goal you set for yourself, not the surgeons goal but your goal?

I wanted to be a size 16 and I am.  . . however sometimes it get frustrating seeing so many people who are so small (NAN . .lol).  I took some time in Tennessee last week to re-evaluate my personal goals and come up with a plan that will move me in the next direction I want to go.  I love for the first time being able to maintain my weight but now I am ready to move on to the next step for me.  When my surgeon set my goal I thought it was out of reach for me  . . but now I am going to try to move to a number in-between my goal and his.  This journey is not always an easy one . . my friend said last week you are always planning your food . . lol . . If  I don't want to gain that is what I have to do to keep on track for me.  Enough rambling for today!

Enjoy your day!

Good Morning Kristy!

It is kind of overcast here today.  My plans for the day aren't outside, so I don't mind if it is a little cloudy.  I have to take my son for a haircut and that's about it.  He has really long, messy hair and now wants to dye it black.  He's also bugging us to get his face pierced.  Oh, the joys of having a 15 year old!

QOTD-No.

Hope you all have a fun, fabulous, productive, peaceful, happy weekend!

Afternoon All,

Went to a garage sale today, bought a pair of nice jeans.  It is nice to be able to go to a garage sale and find clothes for me.  I also got lucky and found some stuff for my youngest son.  He loves legos, knex, and tinker toys.  Anything you can build with.

QOTD:  Yes, I have surpassed my doctors goal and I also surpassed my personal goal.  I am now working on a new one.  Even though it has not been easy I have enjoyed this experience very much.  I eat heathier and so many new foods.  I have learned so much.

He Michigander and every one els too

got up very early this am to  be at Coamerica park for the Race 4 the cure. so many people and so many sad stories too. Glad to see the survivers march. that made it all worth while.
Made it around the 5K walk and was not the last person this time. there were so many there that they were some just leaving the start line when we were at the finish line ( same place)

QOTD: My goal was to be able to walk and move with out pain. A year ago I could not cook at the stove and had to stand to load the dishwasher. I had to have help to grocery shop because I could not get the groceries out ot the cart to put on the counter to pay for them.
" THIS YEAR I RACED FOR THE CURE" I was able to do something to help somebody else instead of having some body do for me.! Even if I never reach my personal scale goal I have been successful at one goal.

Well, this morning, I had my usual black Starbucks.  I made blueberry pancakes and eggs for breakfast today since DH ended up not working OT this weekend and my mom is here.  She's having trouble eating so I'm trying to get her to eat ANYTHING!

QOTD:  My personal goal for WLS was not a "weight" but to have a baby.  So, yes.  I exceeded my personal goal and had the BEST BABY EVER!!!  LOL!  My surgeon's goal was a tad different.  He actually thought I would get down to 135, which was 202 pounds to lose and at 5'8" would put me at the bottom of the "normal" weight for my height (according to any weight chart I looked at).  Yeah, I never hit that goal.  Maybe someday.  We shall see.  I'm not too worried about it!
