Hi Danielle,
Good to see you posting this fine Friday! Got my coffee brewing as well.
I'm trying to get back to basics, too. Just been having too long of a slip-up and want to break it.
No big plans for the summer. Just got back from Las Vegas for a few days. Had a great time. We have our grandson's birthday in July. Will be doing some sort of vacation in August. The elder son will be coming home sometime June or July. Will be doing lots of biking!!
Take care

Good morning to all!

I'm having my protein Chai tea, then on to some yogurt.  I have tried the CarbMaster yogurt but my new taste buds did not like it at all... so I have been eating Activa yogurt.  I think I'll try the CarbMaster again after a while, since I didn't like the protein Chai tea early on, either.

This summer, my hubby and daughter are going camping for a week at the Pinery in Canada.  I have a week off each month, but June is for a basketball camp for Emma, July is for a writer's workshop for Emma (see a theme here??), and August is nothing but pure laziness.  I love sitting on my front porch in my wicker chair, reading a book and drinking something cold.  That is my idea of true relaxation.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Linda

Hi Danielle,

Haven't seen you on here in a while!  Sounds like you are busy.

Just finished a mug of regular coffee with SF Hazelnut cremer, splenda and a splash of Starbucks SF Cinnamon Dulce syrup.

QOTD:  I have a very busy summer ahead of me.  My daughter just had her bariatric surgery 2 weeks ago, in 3 weeks we have both my son and Steve's son's graduation open houses and commencement ceremonies. Separate ceremonies, separate parties, so two busy weekends in a row.  Two days after my son's graduation party he is having jaw surgery.  Then, August 7, is Steve & I's wedding!  Busy, busy, busy!! I have a feeling this summer is going to fly by for me.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all,

I was baaad this morning, for breakfast I had a egg and bacon McGriddle, it was yummy but is sitting like a brick in my stomach now.

Q:  We have a few little family weekends here and there, but beyond that not much. We like to get out of here in the winter and go to warmer climates.  When it's nice here I'm happy in my own backyard.

For those of us doing the Race for the Cure tomm. stay dry!

Good morning all!

SOOOoooo glad it's Friday!  Just finishing my morning coffee and taking a tiny break from this pile of work I need to plow through today. I've got stuff to present on Monday morning -- but I need to finish compiling it today and get prints made before I leave this afternoon.  Yikes!

Tomorrow I'm heading to Troy for a graphic designers conference (should be cool). Then Sunday I plan to plant some veggies and pull some weeds (probably weeds first, veggies second) --- and hope to relax in my new adirondack chair for as much of the day as possible.

Plans for the summer?

** Thinking about not taking classes this summer since I can't take enough credits (no classes available) to qualify for student loans, so tuition would be out of pocket and I don't want to spend $1000 right now.  Gotta talk to an advisor to see how that affects my graduation plans though.

** Whether I take formal classes or not, I still have tests to take. I've got 6 classes I need to test out of so I can get the credits without taking the actual class (mostly MS Office stuff and algebra).

** I want to write.  Or re-write, I suppose.  My Protein Book is near the top of my list - I have a ton of new stuff that needs to go into it, and a bunch of stuff that needs to be re-written with new research I've found. Plus with my new designing skills, it'll look prettier. Big project for sure!

** Going to the OH conference in Cinncy in August!!  That should be fun to meet a bunch of OH'ers.  If you plan to go, I've got a discount code (its in my siggy) so you can save $$$ on  your conference ticket.  We'll have to talk about carpooling down to the event when it gets closer to August.

Hello!  Happy Friday!  I discovered Dub had a new tooth through, last night and he woke up this morning, not feeling very good, so I think another tooth might be coming in.  He's napping right now, so I got my shower in and am thinking about some breakfast.  Nothing sounds good, though.

QOTD:  Well, next week is Dub's 1st birthday, with a party for him on the 30th (Taking our nephews and Dub to TIMBERTOWN - a cool park here in Chelsea - 6 little boys and then a family cookout at our house).  Nothing huge planned, yet in June, but I'm trying to figure out what to do for DH for father's day.  My DH is off for shut-down for a week, in July.  We usually spend 4th of July on our boat, in Hillsdale and at the in-laws.  We're going to take Dub to the zoo sometime.  My family has a week-long family reunion every year and this year it's in MI.  That's the first week in August and then DH is off for another shut down week in August and we are going to Warren Dunes for a mini-vacay for DH's 40th birthday.  I'm sure we'll do more.  It just hasn't been planned, yet.  I think the inlaws want us all to go to Cedar Point.  Stuff like that, I'm sure, will pop up throughout the summer.  We do, however, have the most fun hanging on our deck, by the pool.  Can't wait to be able to get Dub in the pool this summer!!

Howdy everyone.
It's almost evening now and I just got home.  DH and I had a vacation day together running errands.  At least we're done for the weekend.

I have so much going on my head is spinning.  Unfortunately, none of it is fun stuff.  We have softball going on for one kid, and doctors and lawyer appointments for the other kid.  I am working on getting babysitting scheduled for the summer when school is out.

I think I will go to my sister's in Battle Creek for a weekend sometime soon, but that's all I have planned.

Hope you all have a great day!

Good Late Afternoon!

I have had a busy week  . . just got back from Tennessee, my favorite uncle who is mentally challenged had a stroke and is in NICU and had bleeding on the brain from fall he took, now is appears he needs a pace maker . . so have been pitching in with family to have someone with him around the clock because he doesn't understand and is scared.  Today back to work and more 16 hour shifts for the weekend .  . . yeah back in the saddle!

I love the fireworks in Bay City so I took the week off over the holiday so I can walk to the Fireworks each night.  The Tall Ships are in town again in July so that will also be fun.  My daughter wants me to fly to New York in two weeks for a long weekend and I will go camping anytime I get a chance.  I am planning on going to the OH Conference in August.

Enjoy the weekend,

Kristy
