Hi there!
Where is everyone?  I feel like a little kid......sighing heavily, stomping my feet, crossing my arms and saying "Fine!  I will post the first one of the day!"

QOTD-What are you eating today?  I am STARVING, but I had a breakfast sandwich like an hour ago.  I didn't bring anything to work because I figured that sandwich would fill me up.  Nope.  So I will grab something when I go home to get Nick off the bus at 1:30.

Hope you all have a fabulous day!!!

Good morning to all!

QOTD:  I have had one crepe with strawberries and banana and now I'm drinking diet cranberry/pomegrate juice with dry D3 mixed in and my calcium pill.  This morning I made a recipe for an oat and nut protein bar that I got from the Lightweights forum, so I am waiting for that to firm up.  Can't wait to try it for a mid-morning snack!  For lunch, it's shrimp with just a bit of ****tail sauce.  For dinner, wheat pasta with meat sauce.

It's getting pretty cloudy here. . . I think the rain is on its way!

Well Brenda, I think you scared everyone away :).

Well David and I did it....we adopted 2 puppies from the shelter over the weekend.  They are part lab, part ????, but absolutely adorable.  I'll post pics soon.  I have not had puppies in 15 years, damn they are work!

Q:  Let's see, I have some salad and chicken for lunch and for a snack I have some fresh pineapple with strawberries that I chopped up over the weekend.

Have a great day all,

Edie

Good morning!

Had a good weekend. Dug in the dirt and re-potted some house plants and pulled a bunch of weeds from the "garden" (not exactly a garden, but more like a strip of lawn with no grass where I plant flowers and stuff). I bought a new adirondack chair for my patio, so I assembled that yesterday too. And I went through a huge pile of clothes someone gave to my mom and came home with 2 huge boxes of clothes to add to my wardrobe (OMG! I didn't know which new thing to wear first!).

Tomorrow I'll be the hired photographer at a conference in Detroit all day.  It should be fun to see some old friends and catch up with the news of recycling in Michigan ... but it's going to be a long, long day! (8am until around 10pm)

QOTD -- Here's the plan (which I'll be posting soon on the What are you eating today? thread over on the RNY forum, like normal):

Commute -- protein hot chai tea
Arrive at work -- coffee
Breakfast -- yogurt w/ fiber one twigs
Lunch -- southwest chicken salad from McD's
Snack -- strawberries and grapes and 2 cheesesticks
Dinner -- leftover Gyro innards (roasted lamb, fresh diced tomatoes and cucumber sauce) and side salad
LNS -- something or another... haven't decided yet.

Thanks Mary. I've been turning down paying photog gigs lately -- just made the decision I didn't want to do it anymore.  But this one is a bit different. I'm technically not getting paid -- just being paid in food and fellowship.  I used to work closely with the Michigan Recycling Coalition but when I took a job outside the recycling industry I lost touch with a lot of friends in the community.  So it'll be fun to catch up with folks again.  And of course, not many of them have seen me since I've lost the weight - so that'll be fun.

Hello everyone !  I am back at it today.  Left Friday for Iowa on the motorcycles, brrrrrr,  got there around 3, had a few stops between here and there.  Saturday was a fairly nice day, didn't freeze or anything, watched motorcycle drags, saw a comedian named Bag Lady Sue, she was hilarious, lots of humor from the women's side.   Stayed in a tent all weekend, no electricity, they had porta-potties (those are always fun).  Saw lots of sights that can't be mentioned.  All in all a nice weekend.  Left Sunday morning for home in the drizzle, was grateful for the dryness about an hour out and the sun finally when we hit Chicago area, was able to take off some of the layers of clothes.  Was thrilled to get home to my shower and bed.

QOTD: Had to go to the dentist this morning so didn't get my breakfast in, then they were running late so it was almost lunch time when I was getting home so stopped to Taco bell for a mexi-melt.  Not sure what supper will be, it is golf night, I will probably freeze again since it is not very warm out and it is supposed to rain.  Will probably stop at Fridays and have some chicken salad or something.  Tomorrow will get back to normal stuff (well for a day or two)

Have a great day everyone.

Hi Brenda and all!

Well, I had my protein coffee for breakfast, an atkins advantage protein bar for snack, some roast beef for lunch and my planned snack of greek yogurt turned into a skinny chocolate latte - that wasn't very skinny.  Looked up the nutrition on the stuff the coffee house uses, and its high in calories for a large latte (I figured around 300 with skim milk).  So, no yogurt for snack.

I'm trying to get back on track.  Have been doing just awful and need to get "decarbed".
