insurance issues.....

2yrs out from VSG and now cant get insurance...

**sighhhhhhhhhh** verrrrrrrrrrry frustrated... UHC is out, due to not having med coverage in last 63 days, and Humana is out due to medical history---  Aetna cant do anything Bariatric-wise for 3 years past last surgery....


UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH this is making me VERRRRRRRY STRESSED!!!!!!

I hope this is not to personal.... are you saying that Humana will not cover you because of VSG?  Do you need Aetna to do anything for you baratric wise at this point, if not wait out the pre existing period for any blood work...?

I hate to say this but have you tried BC of MI?  As much as I don't like them they may be able to cover you. 

And remember since you've been un insured you may have a pre-existing contition no matter who you find to cover you.

Dr wants to do part 2 of my surgery (which will be DSwitch)

Aetna will cover bariatric claims, but they will only do it after 3 years of previous surgery--

As of Feb 09, BCBS no longer covers bariatric ANYTHING under its Individual Plans....

so im playing the waiting game....

Ouch, you are between a rock and a hard place.....wish I had an answer or suggestion for you.
