HAPPY BIRTHDAY EDIE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You have to admit with everuthing we have been through it does make birthdays more precious....the age does not matter at all....you are only as old as your spirit...
I am going to be 59 the end of this year..and I am like cheese and wine, the older I get I become moldy and more like vinegar....hahahhaa...actuallly I am getting better and am thankful to be here every day......
Yesterday my brother said "so what are you 48 now, I said yep I am and I don't care and he said, well of course not Sis....we almost lost you 6 years ago, we're all so grateful that you are still here...... God I love my brother!

Hi Everyone,
What's with all the rain! Ugh. Steve and I signed up to do a 5k race on Saturday in Chelsea. I hope the weather cooperates!
QOTD: Nope, don't really worry about my age too much, it's just a number. Sometimes it does freak me out a little when I think of my family (there are six of us kids) and next year on my birthday half us will be 50 or older! I remember when my aunts & uncles were in their 50's and I was younger and we thought they were so old! I wonder if our neices and nephew think that of us now? I think we are all pretty hip and cool, but who knows what think - LOL !
Stay dry everyone!

A friend that I've known since I was 13 and I were talking about that yesterday. This is not at all what I thought 48 was going to feel like, hell I still think I'm 28 (but I'm glad I'm not, I love this age)!!!

Good Morning/afternoon.
Sorry I am late. DH is in for a few hours passing through on his way form warren Mi to PA.
gets to stop by for a good dinner. I bought the stuff and he assembled the meat loaf. He makes the best meat loaf. ever.
Rain sucks. When I picked hubby up today i told him he better cut the cord from that rain cloud he has been towing around with him. Every timehe is in town it rains. lol.
QOTD: I didn't realize That I was old until both of my parents pass. I moved up on the hierarchy to be the old ones. You know that as long as you have parents or grand parents they are the old timers. And as long as they are living you can ask them for advice, then when they are gone you become the old people, the ones that should have the advice and answers for the young ones.
I call it the ADULT ORPHAN SYNDROME. probably is a real term for something else but that is my definition for it.
It is going to be warm and sunny this week end. I saw that on the weather channel! And DH is going to hual that rain could to PA and leave it there. LOL
QOTD Answer:
I never worry about age, even after becoming the aged patriarch of my family. Here are the advantages to growing old.
When you are old you can:
1. Ignore anything you don't want to deal with by pretending not to hear it. The more often you do this the more people think that you are really deaf and the more they feel bad in pointing it out so the more things they will let slide.
2. You can tell people what you really think. Instead of arguing they will either think that you are either wise or an idiot, but they will accept it either way, because "Your Old".
3. It is fun to see everyone so sheepish when they offer senior discounts. They don't get it, we are old not rich!
4. It beats the alternatives to growing older. Stopping you aging in easy. But way to final.
5. You can chuckle at the stupid things that young people do and relish in the knowledge that, no matter what. there is one thing you will never have to worry about that they still do;
dying young!
