Had my protein shake and on to iced tea soon.

Q:  Birds in the morning, waves crashing on any shore and the sound of crabs and fish eating coral under water....pretty cool.

Good morning Michigan
I hope everyone has as pretty a day as I do outside my window!  Its still chilly  but its gonna get up to warm later.
Tough weekend for me  the first mothers day without mom  but  it was a nice one.  We went to take lilacs to both moms graves then stayed in Grand haven on the beach.   Lake Michigan  looked cold but it was still lake Michigan.

I love the sounds of the world waking up outside my window spring and summer morning.   
Water    Water in nature    the sound of waves lapping on the shore    the splash and gurgle of a creek making its merry way along its path  the sound of water rushing over a dam on the river.  

Hi Deb,

Checking in a little late today.  Right around lunchtime.  I am gonna have some yogurt and some chicken soup.  My mothers day was good.  Both kids got me something special and my DH did all the chores in the house for me.


qotd:  I like hearing the kids play in the pool.  The laughing, the screaming as they jump into the pool.  the giggling as they try to splash me while i lay in the sun.  All the neighbor kids coming to the gate asking if they can come over and swim which I usually say Yes, the more the merrier I always say.

Oh, I also like it when my boxer barks at the laundry basket for no apparent reason....

Good Afternoon!

I had a nice Mother's Day, had a BBQ with my entire family at my parents house  . . first time we have all been together since Christmas, it was very nice.

QOTD- The two best sounds I have heard in my life were my son from Iraq, saying "Mom I'm on my way home" . . and my daughters voice while she was at the Pentagon on 9/11 saying "Mom I'm OK"  . . but my favorite sound is the sounds that my grand-daughter makes when she is sleeping, it is so beautiful.

The ONE phone call my hubby got to make when he was in Iraq (the 1st Gulf war) was his call to me to let me know he was coming home  (I already knew because the 1st sergeant's wife told me), is a SOUND I'll never forget, for sure.  

This made me think of 2 other sounds I won't forget....my dad whistling (he always did) and the first time I heard Dub's little cry, seconds after he was born!
