Good Morning All,

I had a nice Mothers Day.  We had lunch with my mom and dad.  The rest of the day was peaceful.

QOTD:  Early morning is my favorite.  Everything is just waking up and it even smells different.  I like to sit out at night time and listen to things going to bed and others waking up. I also like the sound of lakes and beaches.

Good Morning.

Mothers day was very nice. My DH gave me a necklace on Saturday, we were going away and I had gotten dressed up so he decided to give it to me then so I could wear it, what a great man I have! I got cards and flowers and a bracelet from the kids. It was wonderful, we drove over to my daughters to see her two boys as well as the youngest grandson, she was babysitting him this weekend. It is great seeing all the kids together!

QOTD: The laughter of the kids ! Also any of the nature sounds that I am around at the time, always hear the birds and love that!

Morning all!
It's still cold out there!  DH planted a bunch of flowers and had to tuck them in under the sheets last night so they wouldn't freeze.

I got a Detroit Tigers garden gnome and a Starbucks gift card for Mother's day.  I also got an early gift and got to sneak away for lunch, a pedi, and some time with Tina and Dub on Satruday.  The guys are back in my good graces, for now :)

QOTD-I like the weirdest sounds, but they all totally go back to my childhood.  I love hearing the sound of the dishwasher and the washing machine at night.  My mom used to clean at night after we went to bed, so those sounds put me to sleep.  I also like the sound of a lawn mower.  It means pretty soon the house is going to smell like fresh cut grass....and I didn't have to do any work!

Hope you all have a good day!!

Brenda -

I also love hearing the dishwasher or washing machine at night when I'm in bed.  It's soothing in some strange way.

Good Morning Michiganders and any others who drop in this fine day!

trying something new this am. Thought I would be a little daring, Cookies n Cream protein powder in my coffee. it is good and I think I am going to like the new flavor of protein powder too.
Heading out at about 11:30 to take a 3 hr class for jewelry making. Don't know how that will turn out. but was hoping to do some repairs on my Med ID bracelete that I got caught on a blanket in the middle of the night and the beads went flying all over the place about a month ago.

QOTD-What are your favorite sounds? Sometimes I just love the quiet. No sounds at all, sot of like when your under water. When hubby and I were into Scuba diving i would just love to sit at the 50 foot mark and enjoy the quiet. no screaming kids, no society, just the fish and me. LOL. My other favorite is little children singing their own made up songs. exspeciallly when they think no one is looking. lol

Good morning all!

I had a good weekend.  Class on Saturday and B&N w/ Bux on Saturday night.  Then a cookout with mom and grandma (and the family) on Sunday afternoon.  With homework in between all that. Now it's back to the grind at the office today with lots of time spent in InDesign today designing my butt off (yes, I love it!).

QOTD -- my favorite sounds include:  birds singing early in the morning. waves crashing against a secluded beach. silence. Harry Connick, Jr.'s voice. the coffeemaker brewing.

Have a good day all!

Good morning!

Mother's Day was good yesterday.  My brother and family, and sis and BIL came over (mom was here, too).  We did burgers on the grill, corn on the cob, a great salad and I made strawberry shortcake for dessert.  Western was enthralled by my nephews, as usual.  He followed them all over the house.  They completely wore him out!

I haven't gotten my Mother's Day gift, yet.  My request was to plant a flowering tree, but hubby's back has been out all week and our truck needs a quick fix, so we couldn't go pick out a tree.  Hopefully, this week.  Also, as part of my gift, we are enclosing the lowest level of our deck with railing to create an outside play area right off of our dining room and I won't have to worry about Dub getting away and off to the pool without me.  Plus, I got a couple hours Saturday morning to go get a super pedicure, lunch and visit from Brenda!  YAY!

QOTD:  I've ALWAYS loved the sound of children laughing, but when it's my own....OMG....that's even better!!!   I love the sound of the ocean wave****ting the beach...or the waves of Lake Michigan, hitting the beach.
