Thank you all for the good wishes!!  She just got out of surgery and all went well !!

What a blessing for her to have this done when she's younger and can enjoy a long healthy life - more fit and active, more fun clothes shopping!  I'm glad everything went well.

Thanks Linda - I agree with you!  I am so glad she's having it done when she's young and will enjoy a long healthy life ahead of her.  We were driving to the hospital this morning and talking and she said 'mom, i finally feel like my inside is going to match my outside now.  I feel like with this surgery I am getting a second chance'.  I have always felt guilty for my kid's weight problems because I was the one who bought the groceries and the unhealthy stuff into the house when they were growing up and I was the one buying cookies, pop, sweets, etc.  I am just so thankful she has this opportunity.

Great News Nan!  And don't beat yourself up - even though as moms we have a tendency to do that.  As you know genetics plays a huge part in things.  Your daughter's going to do awesome.  The hard part's over - now on to the losing part!
