This is a safe site.  No more fish for me unless it's from the USA.

Thanks for sharing this.

I am not a very big fish eater but when I do I am sure to now ask for USA farmed and fresh.

I heard rumors and rumblings of this fish thing a while ago, but just saw this video.  Worries me enough to watch what I eat anyway.  Checked at the store today, and some of the shrimp came from the gulf and the others from Indonesia.

Here's the vicious circle as far as domestic v. imported fish:
If you are buying farmed fish, even if it is from the US, it has a higher chance of containing hormones and dangerous PCBs.  In fact, most farmed fish are fed low quality food filled with hormones, just like most domestic cattle and pigs are.
So, you think you will buy just US wild caught fish, right?  Hmmmm.....well, first, it's very hard to find.  Second, older, carnivorious fish like salmon and tuna have a lot higher chance of being full of mercury and other toxins.
In summary, just because it lived in the US, doesn't mean it is safe at all.
