OT: What do you use for a "food" journal?

I'm looking for a different food journal.  I need something that my handwriting will fit (I've tried to make it smaller but then I can't read it!) but I'm also looking to be able to include the #of protein and the #of carbs as well (due to my pcos having decided to cause crazyness) plus I need it to be "purse" friendly1  Any suggestions would be wonderful! or if you have an excel/word document you'd like to share w/me that would be wonderful as well :)

thanks!

I don't know of a hand written on but
there are several trackers available
one in under the health tracker tap on this site.
then there is www.fitday.com
and www.sparkspeople.com

you can track both your food and exercise daily. then print it our for your Dr. or just allow him/her access to your site to view your progress.

I prefer Sparkpeople.com my self. because that is where I started. it also has a link to spark recipes and you can enter your own creations/recipes and then add the servings to your journal and save the recipe for the future.

I assume that if you want an excel file that you have computer capabilities so you don't need to hand write everything. just keep track during the day on a notebook then enter the data when you can.

good luck

I wonder if you can use an electronic version.  I use Livestrong's Daily Plate.

I use fitday.com.  I don't think I could use a hand written journal.  Fitday tracks protein, carbs.....for me.  Plus my weight loss or ugggg, gains!

I also prefer Fitday.com.  It automatically puts in the calories, carbs and proteins and fats when you put in a food.  Works really well for me.  Whatever you choose, make sure to journal.  and Good Luck to you.
