Help looking for surgeon for Hubby!

We are looking for a surgeon for hubby. I love my surgeon but there are 6 weeks of education required and he travels for work he flys out monday and fly's home friday so that makes it difficult to get the education in because they only offer the classes during certain times. Any recomendations? How long did it take you from consult to finish? Also how much was the program fee if there was one? Thanks Everyone!

My husband and I used Dr. Cudjoe in Alma. He requires one nutrication class (4 hours) before and one after surgery. I am not sure if these are offered on the weekends but you could give him a try.

He could take one day off the issue is the NUT classes I had are 6 weeks one hour once a week which he can't do that.

Barix Clinics program is as follows
1. Consultation (cost is office co pay)
2. Surgery within 30-90 days (depending on insurance approval)
3. Pre-admission testing (2 weeks prior to surgery)
4.Hospital the day of surgery (stay lap band 24 hours, bypass 48-72 hours, sleeve 24-48 hours)
5.  Post op visit with surgeon and NUT depending on surgery 2 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months, 1 year.

2 week visit is a must. With bypass and sleeve follow up including NUT can be done online. Lap band first fill at 2 weeks other to follow as needed.

the orientation and nutrition class are together. and you will have one exercise class.
they have support group once each month with he dietitian and one  once each month with the psych. but they are optional. took about 5 months from orientation to surgery. They are a center of excellence. And DR.Carlin and Dr. Genaw are wonderful.

Grand Health Partners in Grand Rapids is wonderful. My sister, brother-in-law and myself have gone through them and my surgeon Dr. Kemmeter is so nice and caring. It took about 5 months from orientation to surgery, the program cost was about $1200 including the food. They do have orientation classes on Saturday's too. Hi there, I had my last pre op appt. with Dr. Kemmeter and he is now going to submit my paperwork to BCBS.  So far they haven't been approving what I want, which is the sleeve, but I'm willing to wait and appeal it.  I can't say enough about Grand Health Partners too!

I had Dr. Kralovich at Hurley and that is who my daughter has also.  I really like him and I like Hurley's after care.  I did go to two fo Dr. Cudjoe's seminars and he seemed nice also, I just preferred Hurley overall.
