My hubby had his consult appointment with Dr. Schneider yesterday and has begun the process to  wls.  He also picked up his letter of support from his PCP, so now all he has to do is psych clearance and blood work.  I am happy that he came to this decision on his own, but I must admit it will be a whole lot easier with both of us doing healthy eating.

bet wishes to you both
it will be a wonderful journey now that you both can share experiences.

He must have been impressed with your progress. It will be easier with with the two of you on the same path.

I wish my hub would qualify.  He's overweight, but not 'enough'.  Go figure.  He wants to lose weight but is having a hard time, even with me not eating like I used to.  It would make things a lot easier, and between you an me, I think he's sort of jealous of my success.  He never tells me how good I look or anything.  In fact the last conversation we had about it was 'Since you've lost weight you're just not the same person'.  I refuse to let this weight loss effect my marriage.  He's right, I'm not the same person, I'm more confident and have a lot more self esteem.  I'm proud of my accomplishment.  Maybe too proud.  I'm going to be more careful of what I say and how I act.  No one can say this is the easy route, that's for sure.
He said if he loses 30 pounds I can shave his head.  :)  I've been wanting to see what he'd look like totally bald, rather than just partly bald!  :)

What a great surprise tho.  I wish mine would qualify, but sadly, no.  I'm sure you two will do well together.  Best of luck to you both.

Both my husband and I had the surgery and YES it makes it a LOT easier because we are both going through the same things. Our daughter will have surgery sometime this summer. Good luck!
