Good Morning Deb and those fo follow!
Brrr, it's a little nippy out there this morning. at least the sun is shining here in Midland. Better than all the rain we had yesterday. Just going to the coffee pot to fill my mug with regular and some SF vanilla caramel creamer and splenda.
QOTD: Keeping me motivated is my wedding coming up in August! I still have to find a dress and it's only 3 months away! I guess I need to start shopping - LOL!
Have a great day everyone!

QOTD: I want to take advantage of my "honeymoon" period to lose the weight and hopefully make it to goal. I want to look slimmer and be healthier for summer so I can get out and enjoy the weather - biking, walking, gardening, going to the beach. So for me, it's all about following the rules to maximize my weight loss.
And Nan - congrats on your upcoming wedding!
Monday it is ! Today is the first day of the rest of my life ! ! ! ! Yay !
QOTD - Now that I have had my reconstructive surgery I don't want to ruin it. I weigh myself weekly and will continue that for the rest of my life. I didn't do that for a couple years and allowed myself about a 25 lb gain. Now that I have lost it I don't want it back ! I worked to hard to get where I am at and do not want to return to it! So, every Monday I will weigh myself, if there is a gain of any kind (which yes, today there was 2 lbs) I will asses the damages and decide if I need to buckle down, how did I eat last week (yes, I journal all of it) and if it looks like I truly deserved the gain (which I did last week) I will buckle down and get back to the basics for the week and reasses next week. So the motivation to stay on track is really what ever my mindset is for the week. This week, it is to get back on track ! !
Have a great day everyone !
What keeps me motivated? LIFE! I have one and am living it. It has its ups and downs, but I no longer struggle to do the simple tasks of life anymore and I no longer wonder if I will be here tomorrow, next week, or next year.

What keeps me motivated? I JUST got rid of ALL my smaller clothes! I can't afford to buy anymore... what was interesting was while I was cleaning out dressers and closets - I STILL found XL and 1X clothes I'd kept. But - they're all gone now (yup, even the next size UP from what I'm wearing now).

I am drinking the purple stuff again. I'm also eating chicken soup for an early lunch. My weekend was good, I got a lot done around the house.
qotd: I have no motivation right now. My doctor had changed my meds a couple months ago and it made me gain 15 lbs, yes, after my TT i gained weight back. I have a friggin "muffin top". Well he changed it to something else cuz he knows i had rny and I think its kicking in now. I have more energy, now I just need to focus it on eating right, low carbs, high protein and then walking a lot. I guess I could use the pool as my motivation. I would at least want to wear the same suit I wore last year when i was much thinner.

I am killing time right now and then I need to head out to the grocery store to get my coupon shopping done. Oh joy plus we have nothing in the house to eat for dinner so I am stuck with having to go today.
QOTD: I am just living day to day.. I do not track so this is not a good question for me. I have though started to exercise again and do my evening walk with Big Guy and my DH. I just try to live my life healthy and normal I did not have this surgery to be on a lifelong diet... Just my opinion. I get tired of the food police and people telling me how to live my life or track my food for me. I am the most normal that I have ever felt in my life and that is the best part of this!
I'm just over here plugging away doing work and stuff. Being a good little government worker and all. Drinking my purple smash and awaiting a yummy lunch in 45 minutes or so.
QOTD -- I don't believe in motivation - but I think I've said that before. It had to be about momentum and not motivation. You can't wait for motivation to come to you to stay on track, you have to go out and get it... so one foot in front of the other and just keep doing it over and over each day. Eventually you'll be propelled along by the momentum that it will carry you through the tough days when you don't want to keep going... but you're already moving, so you might as well keep on track.
Plus, once you're on track with a healthy lifestyle, it's less about "staying on track" and more about just living your life the way you want to live it - healthfully. My goal is to make good and healthy decisions 90% of the time and whatever happens in the other 10% isn't a big deal and I refuse to have guilt over it. Living a healthy life is like brushing your teeth. You do it everyday because it's what you do. But sometimes you have a lazy pajama day and you don't get dressed or comb your hair or take a shower or brush your teeth... that doesn't mean the next day you neglect your toothbrush just because you had a jammie day.
Ok, soap box speech over. LOL!
Have a good day all

The scale can measure the weight of my body but never my worth as a woman. ~Lysa TerKeurst author of Made to Crave
QOTD: My motivation is reaching my short term goals. I made a goal that I wanted to lose 80 pounds by May 1st from my Dec 17th surgery date. As of the scales today I have lost 83.2 pounds. Seeing how I attain each goal helps motivate me to the next one. It helps having a supportive spouse and family. I have much to be thankful for!
Have a great night.
