Good morning everyone!

Just finished a big bowl of carbmaster yogurt mixed with cottage cheese and blackberries.  Very good & filling!

Was a busy weekend with the boys down at the state bowling tournament but the best part was I got to meet Edie!!  Thanks again Edie - I really enjoyed meeting you!

QOTD:  No real surprises for me this spring.  I'm not much of a gardener, but love it when everything starts popping up in the spring!

Have a great day everyone!

Nan

Good Morning:

With my surgery being scheduled for 2 wks away, I had my final dinner flings this weekend.  Didn't overdo it too much, but just had the things that I know I'm going to miss.  Sushi on thursday, pizza & wings on Friday, BBQd ribs with homemade baked beans on Saturday, and we went to Olive Garden yesterday for a treat.  I think I did well, I didn't gain any weight over the weekend..yay!

So tomorrow starts my liquid diet and the beginning of my pre-op appointments, still exciting!!

QOTD--DH loves the garden stuff, me not so much.  But I do like it when it all blooms and we get to eat the fresh veggies.  My only real spring suprise is that my WLS is scheduled already, I was expecting the end of summer.

Have a great day, all

Marcia,

My "last" meal was at Red Robin, ummmmmmm :), a juicy burger, endless fries and alcohol!!!

The liquid diet isn't fun, but isn't all that bad either, just keep your eye on the prize!

Good luck,

Edie

Morning all,

I too had a nice weekend.  Dinner out Friday night w/ DH.  Drinks with Nan and Steve Saturday night and lunch w/ my sister Sunday!

BTW, you all should see Nan, she is a skinny minny! and a real sweetheart too!  It was great meeting her and Steve.

Q:  Everything, every time your turn around is life popping up, the whole season just puts a smile on my face.

Enjoy the sunshine,

Edie

Hello all !

What a great weekend we had !  I know the weather was not very nice but DH and I got to spend the whole weekend with our youngest Grandson Daniel, (14 Months)  He was great.  He favors men over women tho so he was Papa's boy all weekend.  We had a great time.  My youngest son and his wife came over on Sunday to see him, he wouldn't go near them for a short time, then he went to Uncle Clint and had a great time with him.  When Clint left it broke Daniel's heart.  So he was back to Papa after that.  We had on a CD of childrens songs, since Daniel loves music and they were singing Baa Baa Black Sheep, well, my son, being the smarty pants he is sang Baa Baa Butt Cheeks to Daniel and of course, Daniel repeated it word for word and very clearly, gotta luv it !

We took him up to his Mom in GR Sunday afternoon and had to say good bye till the next time to him.  Hopefully it will only be in another month this time, instead of 2.  I wi**** was the old days where families all lived in the same blocks or at least cities, like in the 60's.  Problem here was I am the family that moved away from the rest of the family in order to have a job *sigh*.  Oh well, I will celebrate the good times !

QOTD:  That it came so early !  What a beautiful month we were having !

Sally so glad you got to spend time with your grandson.  I know exactly how you feel about the distance.

My daughter is in Anchorage with her husband(Army guy)  and our granddaughter (18 mo)

We get to see her on skype, but I would so like to have her on the weekends or to babysit once in a while.

Hopefully they will be here this summer....Yay

stopping in late today too.
Seems like I am just very occupied this month.

didn't do too much on the week end jus****ched old movies and did some shopping. nothing major

today I took the hounds out in the back yard and gave them a bath. I bought this new shampoo for them that you hook up to the hose and it sprays on like garden pay stuff but  it is dog shampoo, then you flip the switch to  rinse them. Well Diesel didn't care for it at first but he got the message, I was not going to drown him. and  then Maggie just hated it. fought tooth and nail, then she broke the leash and headed for the house. she is now laying on her blankly giving Me dirty looks. lol.

but I got two clean doggies.

have a good day all!
