OT- OMG

So it's been a while since I posted, I actually don't remember the last time I did but here is the awsome news I have.  In December I started dating a man I have loved for over 3 years, and he PROPOSED to me this last Friday.  I of course said yes, we are going to get my ring a week from today because the store has a special on financing that day.  He told me he didn't care how much it cost as long as I am happy.  I am so lucky.  So today his mom, sister, and a good friend went with my daughter and I to Davids Bridal to look and get ideas.....I found THE dress (size 16) and changed my color idea from royal purple to apple red and found the bridesmaid and jr bridesmaid dresses.  Kinda funny since I wasn't planning on actually finding the right dress so quick.  I started crying when it went on, his sister picked it, which makes it even more special, and when his mom saw me she started crying too.  I can't wait to show my mom and dad I am just so happy and had to gush because everyone around me is so tired of hearing me get excited.  Especially since the wedding is in July of 2011, boy are they gonna be glad when it's over. LOL

Congrats.  That is such great news.

Congratulations.... I can imagine your excitement.... How wonderful to have the man of your dreams forever and ever!!!!  Now... will that size 16 have to be taken in by the time the date rolls around????  ;-)

but momofsix is right - I'd put that dress on hold for the style knowing you'll be at goal by then!

Thank everyone, the dress will probably have to be taken in but it can by 2 sizes without any problems and it laces up the back like a corset so it can hide any small weight changes.  I have decided to wait though and see if there is a better sale since I have that luxury, and now I'm on cloud 9 because the engagement ring(a sapphire the size of a 5/8 karet diamond) is on my left ring finger, and the wedding band is in a safety deposit box. 

What wonderful news for you!  Congratulations on your engagement.  I hope you keep us updated as you make all your choices and get closer to THE DAY!!
