I will be moving on to regular foods in a few days and was wondering if there are any suggestions for me. what worked and didn't work for you. I have had a few problems with things getting stuck, but not bad. I tolerate ground meats well as long as they are moist. I haven't tried bread yet and thought I would wait a while before I do. Sure could use some input. I'm 4wks post-op RNY

Here's what I lived on.... scrambled eggs, re fried beans w/ melted cheese, tuna or chicken salad w/ extra mayo, yogurt w/ go lean crunch or sticks and twigs (chewed well) and of course my protein shakes.  Watch out for dry things, chicken is a problem for allot of people.

Good luck,

Edie

For me when I finally tried low cal bread it didn't go down very good.  If I take that same piece of bread and toast it to make it more on the crunchy side then the 1/4 piece that I did eat was fine. I would bread toasted at first. I did a lot of can Chicken Breast sometimes with a little L. Miracle Whip. Wendy's small chili will give you two meals.  But I did run my through the Bullet first. So there was no large pieces. Egg's, Oatmeal unflavored, that was about it for me.
Have fun experimenting, a lot is trail and error.

Hot Turkey "sandwich" (without the bread)

Melt 2 T butter or butter substitute in a pan.  Whisk in 2T flour (I use whole wheat) and let that get the color of sand.  Whisk in 2C of chicken broth and let that come to a bubble.  Add black pepper, 2 t Poultry seasoning, and salt to taste.  Drop in some turkey lunch meat and heat through.  This batch will last a while, and reheats well.
I would stay away from bread...not because of it getting stuck, but because there really isn't room in your pouch for it on top of protein and fruit & veg.  When you do introduce it back in to your diet, try thinner kinds, like Arnold Thins Multi-grain.
