NUT help: I can't get one to call me back! Any referrals for RD's online or in Detroit area?

So I'm trying to get my nutrition consult for pre-surgery.  My surgeon has a nutritionist he works with, but she only works on Fridays and I don't think she does phone consults.  (My surgeon is 3 hours away from my home and about 12 hours away from where I am right now.)

I'm looking for a NUT who will do my consult by phone, or one who is within 20 minutes of Detroit, Michigan in person.  (That's where I am this wee****il Friday 4/16, and I hope to get it done ASAP.)  The cheaper the better.

Any references?

Just a question, I don't know if it makes sense, did you contact the closest hospital, I think they have NUTS on staff and you maybe can go there?

I can't make any guarantees about her openings, etc. but I worked with her as a pre-op and she was awesome.

Brenda, thanks.  I hooked up with Patti before I saw your post.  She totally rocks!  She got me in right away, did my report and sent it to the doctor in a day.

Could you call your surgeon's nutritionist and ask her for a referral of a colleague in the area?  Seems like she'd know best about RD's in the area who are qualified to do a WLS consult.

Try contacting Dr Hares office. I am pretty sure one of their patient's is a nutritionist.
