Good Morning All,

I have been feeling a little sluggish lately.  I am not sure if it is the extra hours I have been covering at work while people are on vacation or something else.  I suspect it is my diet.  Although for the most part it has been good I have been eating some chocolate.  Not much and not every day but enough to wonder if that is it.  My youngest son had some of his Easter candy laying around and now it's not.  I find it funny because I am not a sweet eater.  For over eight months I had no sweets and then I had to have it.  I did not like that feeling at all.  It just called me, no matter where I was.  They finished it off now so I am hoping that phase is over.  I am going to have some blood drawn today.  I have been seeing an endocrinologist. Maybe that is why I have been feeling blah. I guess there is a lot in the mix.

QOTD:  Are you the same person as you were before wls?
              Are you more out going?
              Are you more daring?
What is your biggest enjoyment since wls?

QOTD:  Are you the same person as you were before wls?I think I am.  I have always been a smart mouth, well grounded and funny.
Are you more out going? I usually do what I what.
Are you more daring?  I am the same but if something comes along who knows.
What is your biggest enjoyment since wls? I can live life easier.  Walk farther, play on the floor with my son, becoming more responsible.

Cheryl,

What do they say about great minds . . . I was typing the same time you were posting . .  and we used the same topic name . . how funny!

I am not the same person, I have always been outgoing but I am more confident now.  I don't know if I would call it daring, but I do try more physical things than before.  My biggest enjoyment is going into a store and being able to know there is something that will fit me and that is a good feeling.

But I think my biggest enjoyment of all is doing the 5k races . . I may not be the fastest but it is a personal accomplishment for me and I feel great about myself after-wards!

Enjoy your day!

Hi all -

It's Monday.  I'm whipped from a long weekend of working and stuff.  Having some coffee this morning, but it's not pepping me up any.

Are you the same person as you were before wls?
Yes, I'm still the same person on the inside, but I think my outter personality has simply become more like who I've always been.  So it might seem like I've changed, but really - I've just become more like myself.

Are you more out going?
Outgoing?  Nah.  Outspoken, yeah.

Are you more daring?
No, I wouldn't say more daring.  But I'm more willing to take risks in order to achieve my goals though.

What is your biggest enjoyment since wls?
The energy I have.  The friends I've made.  The knowledge I've amassed.  The goals I've achieved and continue to work toward.

Good Morning !

What a wonderful weekend it was.  We went out on our Motorcycles both Saturday and Sunday.  On Saturday we rode down to Sturges to check out the Harley Dealer (no we don't own Harleys) then went to the leather store there and I finally got my chaps.  I should have gotten a new vest also but didn't realize mine was to big for me now since I hadn't put it on yet this spring.  We had a great ride, stopped at a couple places for conversation and drinks **** tea or water only for me please).  Then on Sunday after our ABATE meeting we rode up to Sandy Pines to check out our place up there, DH has to go up and get the yardwork done there this week.  (man's work is never done when the wife keeps the list....LOL)

QOTD:  Are you the same person as you were before wls?  I am a happier person
Are you more out going? I was always outgoing so this didn't change me much.

Are you more daring?  Yes, I went snow skiing afterward, always wanted to but knew I was to big to try it.  Also learned to ride a motorcycle at my old age and am loving it ! !
What is your biggest enjoyment since wls?  LIFE

Remember, these are all my opinions, not sure what my family would say.

I ride a Suzuki Volusia, DH has a Yamaha Roadstar.  I took my classes in Lansing 4 years ago at Alpha Training Center, DH and I both took the classes even though he already had his certification but hadn't ridden in years.  We spent the weekend up there, it was a great class.  We had bookwork on Friday night and if you passed the written test there when you went to the License bureau you only have to take the short test.  Then on Saturday and Sunday we spent 4 hours on bikes on their course, I think they were honda 250's, not sure tho.  The trainers were mostly Policemen, some state, some sheriff.  One of them was the Motorcycle trainer for the state.  It was the greatest thing I have ever done.  I had only been on a motorcycle, maybe twice in my life.  I passed the road test there with a slightly higher score the my DH, they told him he already had to many bad habits...>LOL.(you don't have to take a roadtest at the License bureau if you pass this one)  I was 51 when I took the course.  We went back the following spring for the refresher course, I was feeling a little insecure.  I have already said that if my Grandkids ever want to ride I will pay to take them to that same one, it was a great course.

As for Chaps, they had a hard time fitting me.  I had my TT 2 months ago so that is on the small side but I still have permanent saddle bags and they aren't made out of leather....LOL.  My thighs were to big for the medium so I had to get the large and they had to add gromets to the waist so I could get them to fit.  They also overlapped the back tie area to bring it in a few more inches.  They did all of this while we waited, (including cutting the length off the legs)   it was a nice store, very busy also.

I went for a ride yesterday too - was chilly but a nice day for a ride.  Didn't go real far, but we stopped for lunch, then headed a new direction towards home.  My 1400's clutch is soft so I rode the 800.  Glad to have 2 bikes at times - lol.  I need to get both of them into the shop for their spring tune-ups.

My chaps were too big - I had bought them last April and I'm probably 25 lbs lighter than then.  I still wore them, but will need some new ones.  When I bought them I could barely get them done around my thighs... they were almost falling off!

QOTD:  Are you the same person as you were before wls? Yes, I'd say I'm the same person

Are you more out going?   No - I've always been outgoing, but I do exude more confidence now.
Are you more daring?  No - I wouldn't say I'm more daring.  I just have the energy now to do the things I've always wanted to do!
What is your biggest enjoyment since wls?  Buying clothes, loving how I look in clothes. and feeling so much better about myself and my health.
