My Josh

We're at the hospital right now.  The infectious disease doctor just came in and verified that all the tests are showing negative now, thank goodness.  That means that the antibiotics are doing the trick at killing off the group b strep.  He'll have to have the IV penecillin for 8 more days, and then they'll spring him.  He is really doing much better now.  Just fussing a little bit, but nothing unusual.  Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts.  It's really awful to have an infant in the hospital.  I'll be spending the nights here all next week with my DIL, since my son will have to go back to work.  Jessica will take an unpaid leave to stay up here next week too, and probably for a few days once he comes home from the hospital.  Luckily my son hasn't gotten a pink slip (yet) so he's still employed.  He's got a bunch of 10 year old kids to teach this year and is really enjoying it.
Thanks again, and I'll keep you updated.

Glad to hear he is doing better.

The poor little sweetie.

Little Josh is sure a cute little guy.

Hope your son don't see any pink slips for a long time.

Glad he's doing better ... haven't seen you on OFF lately, but I guess you've been preoccupied. Take care of yourself, too.

Jan,

So glad he's doing better.  It is so scary when an infant is ill since they can't tell you what's wrong.

Hoping for improvement every day!

Thanks to everyone for all the good wishes.  Josh seems to be feeling much better right now, but he'll still be in for another week getting his IV fluids and antibiotics.  It sure is hard with an infant.  We're at a loss sometimes...  But good will prevail I know.
I'll check in when I can.
