Just got off the phone and she's been approved!!!!!!   They said the decision was made and a letter went out on 3/31 stating that the denial had been overturned!!

Thank God!  Now I can stop worrying!!  Thank you all for your good thoughts while we were waiting.  I'm sure we'll be fiinding out in the next few days when her PAT's and surgery is!

Just wanted to share the news....I am so happy for her!

That's wonderful news!  I'm so glad the nail-biting is over for you and your daughter.  I'll keep my fingers crossed that she has smooth sailing to surgery and everything goes well.

Oh Nan I'm so happy for your daughter!!!!!!!!! and you too. :o)
What a life changing experience she is about to enter in. At least that is how I feel now. I sure wish I could have had my surgery at 34 instead of 54. I will smile all day just for her! Tell her congratulations from us all.

Thanks Cheryl  I totally agree with you.  I can only imagine what my life would have been like had I had my surgery in my 20's vs when I was 48.   I have no regrets, I love my life, but I wasted so many of my adult years being so obese I fell like I missed out on things I wanted to do because of my weight issues.  And she's so young (she'll be 22 in May) I am just s grateful she will have this opportunity at a young age.  My youngest son is also going through the approval process and hopes to have his surgery in December.  He'd like to have it this summer, but has to put it off due to his jaw surgery.

Thanks to all of you for all the kind words!!  I appreciate your support!
