Good Saturday Morning!

Do you have your eggs colored and ready for tomorrow?

I love the Easter season and the true meaning of the blessed weekend.

QOTD- How will you celebrate the weekend?

I am working 16 hours both days this weekend and will miss my family get together.  . . but it's Spring  . . . and I am Blessed no matter where I am.

Enjoy your Holiday!

Hi Kristi and everyone else who pops in....

I guess everyone else is out and about today.  I don't think anything else matches the feeling of spring after a long winter.

Dan and I are going to the driving range today to see if I can still hit the ball.  Everytime I watch golf on television, it makes me want to try it again.  I used to golf quite a bit before I had rotator cuff surgery.  Now I'm kind of afraid.

I'm also looking forward to watching the Spartans tonight!

Have a beautiful weekend!

Good moring... ur... afternoon!

It's just a few minutes after noon and I just finished eating breakfast of banana pancakes -- and as I type this I realize I forgot to add the nuts, darn it! But they were delicious anyway.  I got up early and started reading a book I've been working my way through slowly for the past few weeks (One Thousand White Women by Jim Fergus).  I got so engrossed in the end of the story that I couldn't put it down.  If you love Native American history like I do (because of my heritage) I highly recommend this book.  I'm going to try and find the audio version of it for my grandmother who is blind - I think she's enjoy hearing the story too.

QOTD -- I'm working on a graphic design project for work this weekend. Normally it would be fairly straightforward, except this time I'm designing the piece in InDesign software... which I haven't learned how to use yet. (That the class I'm taking this coming semester.)  So I'm getting my baptism by fire on the software front, I guess. Need to have a draft to the boss by Monday, so I'll be here designing by butt off this weekend.

The family will gather tomorrow afternoon for Easter dinner at my parent's house. Haven't gotten the details on that yet since my Mom has been out of town for the past week.

Have a great day all --- Kristy, don't work too hard. I don' t know how you do 16 hour shifts, I'd be sleeping under my desk.

My Recipe Index is packed full of yumminess!

I know InDesign ... learned it at my former job (but maybe what I learned was specific to my job for paginating newspaper pages). If you know QuarkExpress, it's a lot like that.

hi every one

Kristy don't work too hard. Try to enjoy some of the Easter day.

QOTD: Preparing a traditional Polish Easter, with Easter soup (like borscht), kielbasa Fresh and smoked, ham, Potato salad, cheese, plaski bread, hoarse radish, and a butter lamb and cake. And a basket for the priest to bless to honor the Almighty Savior. And we cant forget the colored eggs. We do ours with Bea's wax and tea for dieing, We use to do the tradition Plaski eggs, But The die is toxic and will poison the egg if  it has a crack and someone could die.
I am also going to make my SF Protein Cheese cake, but I will make minnies in cup cake wrappers so they are small.

My DH DS DD and my adopted DD and DS ( friends of my children) will be here to eat.!

Hope everyone will have a supper duper Happy Hoppy Easter day and don't eat to many sugar free Jelly beans.

No colored eggs, because no one here to see them. Just me and the cats.

Yes, I'm spending Easter alone. I usually go to Chicago to see my family, but I have a pain doc appointment early Monday and it doesn't make sense to drive down there and have to leave either right after dinner Sunday or early early Monday. And besides, I'm seeing them April 10-11. So I'll save the gas and travel time.

I do have some ham to make for dinner tomorrow. Tonight, I'm watching the basketball games. Tomorrow night, a baseball game. Cuz baseball season starts for real.

The rain seems to have stopped now and the sun is out. I have no big plans ... I stripped the bed of flannel sheets this morning, put on cotton sheets, dumped a litter box, scooped out the other boxes and otherwise have just been vegging. I did some job searching but nothing's out there that's worthwhile today.

It's 9:41 p.m. so I can't say Good Morning!! So I will say Good Evening Everyone!!

We didn't color eggs this week-end, but we did have our seventh Easter Egg Hunt/Brunch yesterday. The kids and the adults had a ball. 4 Grand kids and 150 eggs everybody was happy. Tomorrow we will do brunch at a restaurant with our kids and their families plus our daughter"s in laws will be joining us too. I think there will be 19 of us. Today we went to my DH dad's house and spent time with him. Then I talked DH into stopping by the Goodwill store in Bay City. Tried some things on but only left with three books and a sweatshirt for camping. Then onto a different store.

Pam, I forgot to tell you that peach colored sweater from our field trip to the Goodwill store fit me back in Jan!!!  Remember you told me to buy it and have it as a goal. I'm so proud to wear it.
What did I pay $1.50?? lol I did get to go shopping tonight and picked up a few things...Gosh how I love to shop now!! I use to hate shopping.

Hope you all have a wonderful Easter

No eggs colored here, we really dont do the whole "Easter" thing at our house anymore. My daughter has been home from college so I have been spending time with her. She has asked me to make her chicken cordon blue for dinner tomorrow, and then  I have to take her back to college.
