Morning! I have been  fighting  my sinuses for the last  two days .  I heard about the warm temps, I really need to take the plastic off the windows but I feel so drained when I get home, oh well.  Today we are celebrating doctors day at work and I am bringing in brownies.

QOTD- we are taking a  trip to Chicago  in July, we are going by bus, megabus to be exact. Hubs and I have been away just the two of us in about  15 years, so this will really be nice :)

I have the rest of today off, so I'm planning on going back to bed for about an hour - my husband has a bad cold and cough, so neither of us slept well last night.  Then, I'm off to the grocery store for the fixings of an Easter dinner.  Also getting an oil change.  Then I want to take my dog for a long walk and enjoy this beautiful day!

QOTD:  My husband and youngest daughter are going camping for a week at the Pinery in Canada with his parents and his brother's family, but I will just meet them for an overnight visit.  Camping is too dirty for me!  We are going to Hawaii next year, so we are saving our big vacation money for that.  But I have scheduled a week off for each of the summer months, just going to the beach and relaxing around the house, doing some gardening.  Sounds so great, can't wait!

Ahh  Fond memories of the Pinery with my friends and their parents.  I love being outdoors and close to the water!  Not dirty though.

Hello everyone, what a nice day its going to be! We have the all the grandkids coming over on Friday for our 7th annual Easter Egg Hunt. This will be the first egg hunt that we have to worry about the chocolate melting before the kids find the eggs. lol

QOTD: Our week-ends in the month of June are booked with graduation parties. We have 8 in the family this year and no one is having them on the same day. :o(
Then we will take our trailer up to the lake near Cadillac for the rest of the summer. Our daughter and her family come home from TX for a week in July so we will spend two week-ends up to the lake with them.

Good morning all!

Sometimes I amaze myself.  I got up early this morning and hit the treadmill.  Ok. it wasn't THAT early and I only had time to do 10 minutes.  But it's a rare morning when I'm up early enough to do anything more than dash out the door for work.

If you haven't seen it yet.  I wrote a super long and rambling blog post about meeting Ron Morelli from Biggest Loser yesterday.  If you're bored and have way too much time on your hands - check it out. (seriously, it's really long - I just couldn't stop myself for some reason.  I think it's a disease.)

QOTD -- The only "vacation" plans I have so far is our OH Meet Up in May and I'm about 95% sure I'm doing the OH Conference in Ohio - but those are just long weekend things.  I'd like to do a road trip this year ... seriously contemplating hitting some portion of the "Worlds Longest Yard Sale". We'll see.

Pam - I really enjoyed reading your blog about your meeting with Ron from Biggest Loser.  I watch that show every week - it's one of my favorites - and I too cheered for Ron and his son Mike.  I loved all the "behind-the-scenes" insights you got from Ron - makes watching the show that much more interesting.

Your before-and-after pictures are amazing!  You look great.  Thanks again for sharing such interesting from Ron.

It sure is beautiful today ... already 60 degrees. I'm going to push myself to get to the pool despite feeling a little nauseous. Not sure why ... is my coffee doing it to me? Maybe I should get something in my tummy other than protein coffee?

Got an e-mail this morning about a job in Texas ... hope it pays more than the one in Indiana (which was $26,000 less than my last job, so I turned it down). I know newspaper jobs don't pay much, but really!

Summer plans? I'm going on vacation with my brother April 15-27. We're using his timeshare weeks to go to Hershey, Pa., for two days, then to Williamsburg, Va., for a week, then back to Gatlinburg, Tenn., for two days and on back to Chicago (my mom's). I'm actually leaving April 10 because we're having a birthday party for my grandnephews Ben and Sam (10 and 6 respectively) on the 11th, so I'll just stay at mom's until my brother joins me for my trip. As for the summer ... don't know yet because don't know where I'll be.

Good Am and PM Fellow Michiganders and any one else lurking.

Woke up at 530 am and met my niece at the Bally's at 620 am. We did the recumbent bikes for 30 minutes then she had to go to get her kid off to school and get to work. She is just trying to get in an exercise routine.  I stayed and  did 30 more minutes on the elliptical then did some weight training.

Almost offed myself when I tried to get off one of the weight machines. the one that you sit facing the machine and have the handle bars on a pulley that you pull down and up above your head.  Your not supposed to let the weights bang together when you Finnish. so I was holding the bar while trying to stand up so the weight would not clang together.  I lost my balance and stumbled backwards and almost fell on my keister. But I held on to that handle bar and ended up in a crouched down position and then stood up ( sort of like I did a deep knee bend while holding the bar). Another lady Thought I was doing some kind of new exercise routine. LOL  Whew.

QOTD: Planning the Holland Meet n Greet. Doing the 5K Tulip time run/walk on May 1, On May 22, doing the  Race for the Cure 5K at Co America Park with the Henry Ford Main support group The Motor City Losers. going to the Zoo, the Detroit Science Center,  and a Sparks people challenge picnic for one of the groups I belong to on May 31. I am hoping that DH and I will get to spend some time at our property in Hawks Michigan, And maybe a trip to the Windy for some Italian beef subs.  ( just love em)  And a trip to Bubba Gump Shrimp on Navy Pier for some peal and eat shrimp. (life is just a box of chocolates).  And If I can swing it I want to  go to AZ.  just to check it out. My son says that I can fly for 50 bucks cause he works for the airlines.

Pam Thanks for the blog about Ron the biggest loser winner,
I watched that season with him relentlessly, I cried when he had a heart attack when he had to do that marathon. But Kudos to him he got  back from the hospital and finished the race.

have a Sun shinny day. every one
