Hello everyone

I'm a newbie to the forum   I have been on this weight loss journey for 2 years now. I finally decided that WLS was the way to go in Dec. 2009 after I attended a seminar at the St. John Weight Loss  in Jan. 2010, consultation in Feb. 2010 i've done the blood work, stress test, did the psych eval yesterday. Now I just feel like I'm ready! I'm ready to start my new life! I'm ready for a surgery date!!! Before I was so nervous and so scared to have the surgery but right now, today, at this point I'm just ready. I do realize that since I had my psych eval only yesterday that it is gone to take some time ( I'm thinking a week or so) but I just can't wait till I get the call with a surgery date. Has anyone else felt this way?...

Yeah I was wondering about that, too.  What kind of inusrance do you have???  I know exactly how you feel.  When I decided that this is the way I wanted to go - I was quite miffed and taken back by the fact that my insurance requires a 6 months of consecutive diet before approval.  I went to the same office as you (Dr. Kole) and my did my monthly weigh ins there.

Now I am waiting for approval from Blue Care Network.

good luck to you!

Yes, I have already talk to the surgeon, I have decided on the RNY (laparoscopic). I have also fulfill all of the requirements of my insurance company. From my understanding once the insurance coordinator receives all of the results ( blood work, psych eval., clearance from primary care dr.) they submit it to the insurance company then they will setup a surgery date, that's what I'm waiting for now.

Yes that is what I meant  laproscopic Rny surgery . Sorry but some people I know say that for short way. Just like bff.

My Ins is BC BS IL. But every ones plans are not the same. You could have BC BS IL but your company you work for might not allow it. Check your plan out. Call your ins company and ask.
Good luck
