Thursday thoughts

Good Morning Everyone !  Today I am drinking my coffee strong and black (oh, that is my usual)  next one will have protein in it.  Had a great time at the hockey game last night, to bad they didn't win.  *sigh* 

QOTD:  If you had your choice of reincarnation as and animal, which one would you like to be?

Me, I would like to be a black lab.  She is beautiful, even tempered, graceful, gets pets all the time, never has to worry about what to eat today( it is always the same and never complains) !  Oh, and I could chase those darned ole squirrels.

I am about to make my protein coffee.  The kids are off to school, no one is sick for a change, so now it's time to enjoy the day.  Today is my 1 yr surgery date.  I was considering getting 125# of cat litter (need it anyway).  That is 5 bags so if it's the generic brand it won't cost a lot.  Then take pictures of me with that.  That is about what I lost this past year, 126# to be exact.  I can barely lift a 25# bag!!  I might grill supper tonight if the UP weather holds out like it is supposed to.  If I don't grill then I am going shopping tonight for a nice bra set and curtains lol.  I know they don't exactly match but it's a want and a need I am covering here :)  Time to celebrate and reflect on the past year!

QOTD-Probably a cat.  They are idenpendant and don't like being told what to do, like me lol.  Plus they are my favorite.  I own 4.

Jimi - Congratulations on your one year anniversary!!  I celebrated mine last week.  Can you believe how fast the year went??  What a great idea to get 125# of cat litter :-)  I was thinking the same thing except I had these 50lb bags of dry cement in the garage and thought "OMG I can barely lift one of these, how in the heck did I carry around THREE of them every day for years of being heavy!"

QOTD:  I would like to be a cat. I have three cats and I love how they just lounge in the window soaking up the sun!!

Good Morning All!

I just finished the midnight shift and now am working days . .  OMG . . I am to old for this!  On the up side last night was my last midnight shift ever . . our department is no longer doing them.

I had protein hot chocolate this morning and will have breakfast soon.

Congrat's Jimi on your one year anniversary . . . make sure you celebrate your success!

QOTD- It's a toss up between and really fat cat who does nothing bu****ch the birds in the bird feeder, eat and stretch out in the warm sun all day. . . or a bird who can fly for free . . .lol

Good morning all!

I'm wearing my baby-pink Crocs today!  My feet are happy ... which puts a spring in my step.  How can you not have a good day when you're wearing Crocs!?  Drinking my usual fake latte this morning -- already finished the Vanilla Caramel Protein Tea on the drive into work.

So I wrote a new blog post last night.  Basically putting my to-do list out to the universe and making it real.  Gonna do some major changes to the blog and try to build it up as a resource for WLS folks... I've got too much information, resources, research backlogged on my computers (yes, all 4 of them), flash drives and printed copies of stuff in a huge pile at home - I want to get as much as I can on the blog so it's all in one place.  Oh boy! QOTD -- this is a great question and I can't decide between two options.

1 -- a house cat.... because how can you not have a good life when your day involves sleeping in a patch of sun, chasing invisible mice around the house and being cuddled by a loving owner.

2 -- a sandpiper (or other beach bird)... wouldn't it be great to live on the beach someplace warm and sunny?

I got my bike out of the garage Yesterday, Lord only knows how hubby has that thing pack so full of stuff, I think he has hoarder issues. Any way the tires need some air. but Today I am going for a 1 hr. bike ride.
This am. I had my protein coffee and just finished a pork sausage, egg and 1/2 slice wheat toast. That would be lunch.

QOTD: Eagle, I love the song "She's an Eagle When She Flies!" And that is how I feel I have lived my life. By spreading my wings and seeing if I can fly!

Hello All,

Youngest one came home sick from school today.  He stayed at my folks, I was at work. I think he is ok, played hooky I'm guessing.  We all need one of those days every now and again.  On Thusdays and Fridays I work the morning shift and I never make it to the gym at the end of the day.  Today was so nice I walked the parking lot.  I think I walked around a 1 1/4.  It felt good to be out in the sun.  It also felt good not sitting on my butt the entire lunch hour.  I think I will take my I POD to work tomorrow. 

QOTD:  I think I would like to be a hummingbird.  Everybody loves them and feeds them.  They travel the country.  Plus they are beautiful.
