Munson's RNY time fame
Hi Juli-
Officially, my surgeon's office said a 5 lb. restriction for 4 weeks.
I have a special-needs son that weighs 137 lbs. and there was no one to care for him but me, so I did more then I was supposed to, but tried to be smart about it.
I think by June you should be feeling fine and strong enough to keep up with the little guy.
Of course, you'll have to ask your doc and see what they say, and go by how you are feeling.
Remember to walk a little bit each day after surgery, no matter how much you don't want to. It's very easy to rest on the couch for 2 weeks after and your body gets used to that. If you build your stamina a little each day, you'll be in much better shape come summer. Don't go crazy, but just short walks to get everything moving.
Good Luck to you!
