Hi Michiganders, do you have your green on?  I don't yet but will by the end of the day.  Going to the Green Ice game, need to enjoy the festivities.

Drinking my coffee strong and black !  DH got in late last night.  His flight out of Phoenix was delayed an hour because a person on his flight was having a heart attack and they had to ask for a doctor, their was a cardiologest in the seat in front of DH.  The good thing about his flight was he got bumped to first class.  That was a first for him, he had planned on sleeping on the way home, he gets motion sickness real easy so he sleeps, but they started serving him wine and then they had a good movie that he actually stayed awake for !  He never does at home.  He said I will love this movie, it brought tears to his eyes.

Have a great Green Day !

LOL, wine doesn't help motion sickness, but it sure don't hurt it either when it is free!  It is the sleeping that helps him avoid the motion sickness.

Of course he didn't remember the name but it was the one about the white family taking in a black boy that was without a home and he is now a pro football player.  It is a true story.  I'm terrible about movie titles myself but I knew of the movie he was telling me about.

Oh, they also lost his luggage !  It will probably show up today since his plane was late getting to Detroit and he had to immediatly get the flight to Kazoo.

Just in case you plan to celebrate today.
This may help you decide which livation to partake in.

Here is the nutritional information for some popular wines per ounce:

Wine Calories Carbs Per 5-oz Serving
Chardonnay 20 0.4 g 100 calories, 2 g carbs
Pinot Grigio 20 0.4 g 100 calories, 2 g carbs
Zinfandel® White Wine 20 0.4 g 100 calories, 2 g carbs
Cabernet Sauvignon 20 0.8 g 100 calories, 4 g carbs
Merlot Red Wine 20 0.8 g 100 calories, 4 g carbs

Hard Liquor: Easy on Your Diet
Hard liquor is higher in calories per ounce than wine, and is often mixed with soda, whi*****reases the calorie count. If you’re going to drink liquor, use calorie-free mixers like diet soda or diet tonic water. One shot glass or mixed drink will contain about 1.5 ounces of hard liquor.

Here is the nutritional information for some favorites, based on one ounce:

Hard Liquor Calories Carbs Per 1.5-oz Serving
Vermouth 32 0.2 g 64 calories, 0.4 g carbs
Coconut Rum 51 5.3 g 77 calories, 8 g carbs
Beefeater® Gin 65 0 g 98 calories, 0 g carbs
Rye Whiskey 69 0 g 104 calories, 0 g carbs
Scotch Whiskey 69 0 g 104 calories, 0 g carbs
White Rum 69 0 g 104 calories, 0 g carbs
Vodka 69 0 g 104 calories, 0 g carbs
Cognac 69 2 g 104 calories, 3 g carbs
Tequila 69 5.3 g 104 calories, 8 g carbs
Gilbey’s® Gin 79 0 g 119 calories, 0 g carbs

Beer: Raise Your Glass with Care
Beer is the next best choice for dieters with, about 150 calories per 12-ounce serving. Choosing light beers will drop your caloric intake without sacrificing much flavor, but keep in mind that it can be hard to estimate your intake when pouring from a pitcher or into an over-sized beer mug.

Here is the nutritional information for different types of beer, based on a single ounce:

Beer Calories Carbs Per 12-oz Serving
"Light" Beer 9 0.5 g 108 calories, 6 g carbs
Draft Beer 12 1.1 g 144 calories, 13.2 g carbs
Lager 14 1.1 g 168 calories, 13.2 g carbs
Ale 18 1.1 g 216 calories, 13.2 g carbs

Liqueur: Small but Potent
Sometimes the words "cordial" and "liqueur" are used interchangeably since both drinks are flavored, very sweet and often served as (or with) dessert. Liqueurs can be served alone, over ice, with coffee, or mixed with cream or other mixers. Adding mixers will increase the calorie and fat content of your drink. Whether served alone or in a ****tail, one liqueur serving is about 1.5 ounces. While tasty, liqueurs pack the most calories per ounce, so enjoy them sparingly.

Here is the nutritional information for common liqueurs, per one-ounce serving:

Liqueur Calories Carbs Per 1.5-oz Serving
Chocolate Liqueur 103 11 g 155 calories, 17 g carbs
Mint Liqueur 103 11 g 155 calories, 17 g carbs
Peppermint Liqueur 103 11 g 155 calories, 17 g carbs
Strawberry Liqueur 103 11 g 155 calories, 17 g carbs

Morning All,

The movie was the Blind Side with Sandra Bullock, she won an Oscar for her roll in that movie.  My son loves football so when that movie came out it was a must see for him.

I too am drinking my protein coffee in a green cup. lol Today my oldest son has a dentist appointment.  Then we have to go to my oldest daughters house and pick up some stuff they left over the weekend.  It was so nice, I had the house to myself.  I was not board once.

Have a great day

Just had my morning protein coffee.  I made sugar free green jello and green cupcakes for the kids after school.  Don't worry I won't eat them.  It's not my thing lol.  I got 64 oz of water in yesterday!!!  I actually did it.  Nope, I don't have green on.  I looked and I don't own any.

Top of the day to you!  And Happy St. Patrick's day.  I was thinking about what to make for dinner - I don't think I could handle corned beef - so I decided on a meatloaf with boiled cabbage and boiled potatoes.  Maybe I'll make the potatoes green for a surprise!

I've had my decaf tea, s/f Carnation Instant Breakfast and now drinking Crystal Light.  I'm looking out at this sunny day and vowing to take my dog for a walk at lunchtime.

Linda
