Stressing a little over walking after surgery

No problem.  I had my surgery before RNY so I wasn't in pain and trying to walk.  I know how horrible the pain is.  I tried to walk NYC with that pain.  It was awful, the worst.
When he does the injections, he freezes the skin first, then as he's inserting the needle for the shot, he injects as he goes, therefore, it's really not that painful.  He doesn't just stick the needle in, he takes his time and makes sure you're numb.  Especially if you tell him you're really a chicken (like me).  I didn't have to 'breathe' through the pain.  Hope you can have it taken care of quickly so you'll be able to walk after surgery.
Your time is getting close!  Bet you're really excited.  I remember that time.  Something to really look forward to.  Good Luck!

Sorry
I meant ride a stationary bike instead of walking
I have Plantar F too. I had to ride a bike instead of walking because of my fee.

I can tell you to get somebody to massage your feet every night. It helps. I had the shots. and they helped for a while. I have the inserts and they helped when I was working and on my feet 12 hrs a day.  I chickened out for the surgery. LOL  so I can not help you there.

I can tell you since my WLS and the loss of 103 lbs it has subsided tremendously. Also taking vitamin B12 helps to reduce the inflammation of the tendons that cause PF.

But if you have trouble walking after surgery then you may have to settle for a stationary bike.
Or water aerobics type exercise.

Good luck

Well, that makes me hopeful - that it subsided for you after your loss.    I am really apprehensive about surgery at this point.  I read some negative thing about it - a couple of cases where people were worse off AFTER having surgery.

And maybe the shots will help - I have not given them an honest effort.   And I may have to look into getting an exercise bike!

Guess I'll be calling Dr. B in the morning!!!
