Still Struggling

I have been away for awhile.  Last time I lost any weight was December.  I have gained over 10# but lost those again,  so basically I have been in maintain mode.  My one year anniversary is coming up. Any ideas on how to celebrate or anything.   I thought I would be a lot further than I am, but 125# gone is big right?.  I haven't been doing well all along so I guess it's to be expected.  I have improved in getting the supplements in!  My 1 yr labs were normal for the first time.

Jimi:
You should be proud of your weight loss -- congratulations!!

You can still lose more weight after a year -- up your exercise, change up the routine, and get all your protein and water in.....the pounds will come off, not as fast as before, but still you will lose.   Don't get discouraged -- have a positive attitude.   You've come a long way, and look how much healthier you are now.

Best wishes,
Pat R.

125# is nothing to sneeze at Jimi.  You've done really well.  I know it slows down and I too am having trouble being compliant, but I have vowed not to let the scale get away from me.  No Way, I've worked too hard to throw this all away, and so have you.  Go see a movie or get a massage to celebrate.  No going out to dinner and splurging :)  Good you're labs were normal.  You must be doing something right!  Keep the faith.  You know this can work for you.

Thanks!  One thing I was going to do was reflect on all the positive things I DID accomplish this past year!  As other rewards I still have to think about those.  Thanks again for your replies.  I miss the daily coffee post.  I guess I should hang around a little more often.

Wow...good for you!  I'm at -40 lbs and I can only wish to be where you are!  Think of how wonderful that is and how much you've done for your body.  Keep it up, you can do it!

Hi Jimi,
First of CONGRATULATIONS on losing 125# and reaching the 1 year mark.  That is an awesome accomplishment. I just celebrated my one year anniversary last week and I did exactly what you said...looked back at what I DID accomplish rather than what I didn't do.

Just think of how you were feeling a year ago and how your health has imporved over this past year.  Just because you are a year out doesn't mean you can't still keep on losing.  Just keep working hard at what you are doing and you'll get there.

You can do it!
