OK since nobody has made the effort today I guess I will.

Coffee and chocolate protein powder for me. DH is in town so I guess we'll go do some grocery shopping today. Since I have been sick I have just been sending the kids to the grocery for a little here and a little there. I like to take DH cause I don't spend to much, it's a good thing but he is a wet blanket that way. LOL

QOTD: IT'S TIME FOR A FREE FOR ALL!!!!!!!
Pre surgery- discuss one major change you will miss after your life changing surgery!
Post Opt. - discuss one major change you thought you would miss after surgery and how you feel about it after surgery!

Have a marvelous Monday!

QOTD: I was afraid prior to surgery that I would eat too much and blow out my pouch.  Post op I have found that when Stitch is done. I am done. I know when he is full by the tightness in my mid section, and then I have this backwards hick-up. Sort of like things settling in a cylinder. Weird but it works for me.  And it is really no big deal.  Some days I can eat more than others. But never as much as  I ever did Prior to surgery and for me that is a GOOD thing.

Do you all like my new avatar. I was playing with my camera and learning how to show movement. Kind of fun.

Hey all -

I got a late start this morning.  Woke up sick with a sore throat and what feels like the beginnings of an ear infection.  I nearly called in to work, but after some hot tea my throat wasn't as on fire as it started out being.  Still feeling like crap, but at least I'm at work and not wasting a vacation day at home.

QOTD -- I miss Excedrin.  When I had a headache, Excedrin would get rid of it in 15 minutes flat.  Tylenol doesn't touch it - it's like tic tacs or something.  Otherwise, anything I "thought" I was going to miss I either don't or I was mistaken in thinking I'd never have it again (like my dad's homemade noodles - I've had them 3 times since surgery and figured I'd never get them again because they're so doughy).

Hello everyone,  I hear it is nice and warm in MI, it is 70's here in Florida !  Having a great time.  We went to Daytona on Saturday, riding on the back of DH's bike, seat was hard, don't like that, I got so sore I thought I would have to go back to the PS to have the blisters taken off of my BUTT ! !      Enjoying the sunshine, today going to watch my GF play softball, the women are from 55 to 86 years old (yes, one of their best players is 86)  DH is gone on his motorcycle with a friend down here.

Stay warm and Safe !

Hi Mary,

Sorry I haven't posted to the coffee thread in a while, but I will make it a point to stop in every morning now.  BTW, for breakfast I didn't have coffee, but I had a s/f Mango Slurpee....

qotd:  I wasn't really afraid of missing anything before my surgery.  except for guzzling water, I never thought I would be able to that ever again lol.  I am with Pam though, post op, I wish I could have ibuprofen.  I miss my Advil.  Tylenol just doesn't cut it anymore.   oh yeah, I do miss that feeling of restriction I had when i was first post op.  I can eat quite a bit more than i ever thought I would again.  But that is a bit of lack of self control on my part :)

I like your avi, its pretty cool.
