Are those Pyrs?  Do you know Bridgett and Denver, or Elizabeth Smith?  Bridgett and Denver will be showing their Pyrs at cobo and my friend Robin will be helping them show.  Elizabeth no longer has Pyrs, but used to show.  We have norfolk terriers.  Too bad you won't be there.  I'm not real fond of benched shows, but I do like Detroit.  I see a lot of my old friends.  I grew up in Royal Oak and went to Starr, Jane Addams, and Kimball.  Fond memories of that town.  :c)

Yup - I know Bridgette and Denver. My dogs are from Tami Green though, not their kennel. Tell them you know George & Mochas Mom... :)
Funny that you have fond memories of where I live because where you live is one of my favorite places on earth. I LOVE Interlochen. I used to camp across from the school every year as a kid and always wanted to attend the summer camp at the school. When I was in High School I sent away for the application packet, had everything lined up - recommendation letters written and everything and I chickened out. Biggest mistake of my life. My boyfriend tried to correct that mistake a few years ago when he sent me to a week long adult camp there. Unfortunately it turned out to be a senior camp but I still went to most of my classes and the most important class was basically a private one. Kind of left a bitter taste and I wrote the head of the school many letters. It did get me back intouch with my love of singing though and I do still love the area.

I thought you'd know them.  It seems that most people know the other people in their breed.
I grew up coming up here and camping on Duck Lake, that is, until we (parents) bought this property.  We're just sw of the music camp on Green Lake.  We can sit on our screened in porch and hear some of the concerts going on.  I worked at the music camp the summer between high school and college (1969)  I'm showing my age now. :)  Loved loved loved that job.  I even had to wear the uniform (knickers, blue blouse, knee socks and a vest)  I really liked that because when I got up in the morning I didn't have to worry about what to wear.  I always wanted to attend the camp too, but never did.  For singing too.  I belonged to the General Motors Chorus before I retired and moved up here.  You can join them, you don't have to be a GM Employee or anything.  That's just the name.  They have a website, check it out!  I still know people that are members, some have been members for 25years.  it's a great group and I loved singing with them.
When I lived in Royal Oak, I lived on Ellen, between Crooks and Main, between 13 and 12 Mile.  I still have friends from when I was 2 yrs old and when I was in 3rd grade.  We're like sisters.  Yup, fond fond memories.

Small world, eh?
Ya, those outfits are stunning, aren't they? You would think after all these years they would come up with something different!
I know right where you are at. It's so pretty there.

I am right downtown on Lincoln, 2 blocks from Main. I love it! The dogs love all the attention they get when we walk downtown too and a lot of people know their names now. It's cute! A friend owns a doggy botique on Washington and organizes a huge dog walk as part of the RO St. Pattys parade. Usually I dress the dogs up and walk right up front. This year we wont be there though as my surgery is the day before.

Good luck at Cobo this weekend!!!!!

I used to live on Washington in an old house that was made into 4 flats.  Many years ago, infact close to 40 yrs ago!  The house is still there.  There was a photography studio on the south side of the house (west side of Washington)  I too loved living there, but that was before downtown RO turned into what it is now.
Saw Bridgette and Denver at the show.  Said hi to them from George and Mocha's mom.  They threw a couple of names at me, but I told them I only know you as B5.  :)  They just had two puppies entered this year.  Had a good time down there tho.  My girlfriend took her class with her 10 mo. old ***** and her boy only needs one more point to finish now.  All in all it was a good weekend.

Duh! I never told you my name!! HA! It is Michelle.
Was the flat you lived in almost the last building on the street or up toward Hudson?
RO is changing even now, and I'm not too pleased. I still love it though!!!

OK, now you've got me curious.  What kind of breeds do you show?  Are you handlers?  What kind of puppies will you have in the spring?  I had a great time at the show and my friend won, so she only needs one more point to finish her boy now.  I'm not showing anything of my own right now, but if my one of my friends needs me I'll take something in for them.  I'm basically there for the fun, camaraderie and unpaid kennel help!
