Well, once again I can't sleep.  Tried to stay in bed, but gave up after an hour of clock watching.  Got the dishes put away from last night, no dishwasher here, so after I wash them I let them drip dry and put them away in the morning.  Ate some grapes and am working on decaf chocolate protein coffee.
We have a Harley meeting tonight.  The director has asked me to chair the Ladies of Harley group for our chapter.  I don't know hardly anyone yet and don't really want to start delegating jobs out to people that I don't know and who don't know me.  I'm thinking of offering to co-chair it.  I don't even really know what it entails, so I'm pretty leary.
Tomorrow I leave for downstate to do the Detroit Kennel Club Dog Show at Cobo Hall.  It's always a good time to be with my 'dog people'.  It's our Norfolk Terrier Specialty so there should be a good turnout.
QOTD:  What do you plan to be doing in 10 years?  I'm going to be doing much the same thing as now.  Living the dream up north here, with Gary, healthy and hopefully playing with more grandchildren.  I will still be riding my harley and traveling.

Good morning! I woke up at 5 so I  can get myself ready for work, I have a 12 hour shift ahead of me.

QOTD- in ten years, I am hoping to be more financially set at least more than we are now. Maybe by then I will have some grandchildren.

Hmm, I don't do a lot of these QOTD threads but this one intrigues me:
In ten years I'm hoping to have a wonderful marriage and have kids (getting married this August) and still maintaining my fitness levels.  Perhaps I'll be looking at qualifying for the Boston Marathon or still doing ironman triathlons.

Great to see you back Sax.  Did I ever ask you if you knew Roger Peltz?  I went to HS in Royal Oak with him and his brother Ed.  I think Roger was the teacher in PH that passed away last year.

Ed is the one who passed away.  It was a shame.  I had both of his kids in my class for 2 years and the middle school he was an assistant principal at one of the middle schools that feed into my high school.  I don't think I've ever meet Roger.
I still try to lurk on this board every day or two.  Personally I wish you guys would write in the QOTD in the subject.  Might get me to post in more of these things.

It must have been something going on in Michigan, I was awake from 3:00am on, I didn't get out of be tho, didn't want the dogs to start wanting to eat breakfast, once they are up they think it is time to eat.  So I laid in bed and tossed and turned until 5:30, then got up, lots to do to finish getting ready for our trip, I have to put in 4 hours of work, plus finish the packing, writing instructions for dog sitter, etc.  Can't wait to be on the road.  DH says we will be on road by 2, I think he is way off, we are behind so if we make it by 4 we will be doing good.  Plan to drive past Louisville tonight and the rest of the way tomorrow.   Will be riding on the back of the bike on Saturday  ! ! !  Can't wait.  OH, I went to the Dr yesterday, I am healing up well, he cleaned out the one bad spot which is down at the bottom were the two incisions meet, I have quite a big hole there and it will have to heal from the inside out.  But I am off of the antibiotics, he took out a couple of stitches that surfaced under my arm and I'm good to go.  Hey has anybody ever said that when you have the extended brachio, where they do the bilateral upper body part that when they go down the armpits, guess what, it has been 4 weeks and I don't have any hair under the pits !  BONUS, I hadn't thought about it until after surgery and have been waiting and no hair, he took all of that since there was lots of excess skin!

QOTD :   RETIRED WITH MONEY ! (don't know about the money part, but retired for sure)  You know we raise our kids a little bit backwards, we always ask them what they want to be when they grow up and it might be DR, Lawyer, Garbage Man, etc.  Well, when I hit 40 (long ago) I realized that isn't the right answer to the question, the answer is Retired with Money, so that is what I keep telling my Grandkids, the job is just the way to get there!  LOL
I really am looking forward to retirement in about 6 years, my DH probably will never retire, he can work one semester a year and make his full wages.  Right now he takes a lot of overload.  He will give that up and all the committees, Union stuff, etc that he does so it will seem like he is retired.  Want to take long trips on the bikes, maybe we will have Harleys by then.

I don't know how much I will be on here over the next 9 days, we are taking a pc with us but don't know how much I will use it, planning on being very active in the warm weather.  All of you enjoy the 40's that your going to be having, I know how great that feels to us Michigan people.

Have a safe Week !

Morning Jan and everyone,
I was up at 4 as well!  Just like Sally, I stayed in bed so I didn't wake the dog and kid.  I laid there and thought of all kinds of things from what I was going to wear today to what color I want to paint my living room.

QOTD-I will be retired in 10 years, because Nick only goes to school until he's 26.  By then, I'll have my wheelchair van and Nick and I will have a new adventure every day.  I can't wait!  I hate to say that most of those adventures will be going out to lunch and shopping, but that's probably the truth.  Luckily, Nick takes after me and loves to walk around the mall!  I'm so thankful DH and I started down the right path to getting our finances in order a few years ago.  I remember when I was a single mom and could never imagine myself living in a house, let alone being retired and having the things I need.  Ok, now I'm getting weepy so I'm going to sign off.  Have a great day!!
