Yes, it's a bit pricey.  But there's 40+ servings (1/3cup each)  in a box and you only ever use one serving because you don't share it with other people.  LOL!

My Recipe Index is packed full of yumminess!

Good Morning Michiganders.

We finished the cupcakes 48 of em at about 10pm last night.
I just got done putting them in a box. going to have Julie take them there in a few.  She can just drop them off at the hall.  with an additional donation.

I am now wore out and will spend the day resting and reading my Photography books. I began taking a class on line and it is very helpful. I can't wait to get back on my feet to go out and try some of the techniques that I have learned.

yesterday was interesting. My neighbor who is 77 was wondering around out side with no coat or shoes. then just as I was sending my son to see if he need help, the neighbor, went into the other neighbors back yard. About 15 or so minutes I saw the police, escorting the 77 yr old back home. It seems he was getting frisky with the other neighbor and would not leave her alone. the police left then the ambulance came to the 77yr olds home. I guess he than began hallucinating, and talking to people that were not there.  He is now in the hospital for observation. His wife just got out of rehab from a stroke and massive heart attack, last summer.
Just got off the phone with his wife and she is doing good, but very worried about him. She thinks that they are going to put him away cause of the deal with the neighbor lady.
It is SAD when we get old.!

I woke up this morning to the phone ringing at 6:00 am. It was my mother saying she called 911 because she thought my son had a seizure. I had to drive to BiCounty Hospital and found my son alert and doing well. The doctor said his potassium was dangerously low, so he was given medication and told to follow up with his doctor.

I got home about a half hour ago and  am now having my decaf coffee. The days agenda is laundry! Catch everything before the work week. I go see my bariatric doctor for a follow up on Tuesday, my clothes are very loose, I think next weekend I will hit Salvation Army and look for some new jeans.

Hope your son is ok and the potasium will help.
The Salvation Army on Hall Rd by Lakeside is by far one of the nicest in your area.  Now that I live up north, I don't make itthere too often.  When I come down to visit, I make it a point to go there.  Good luck shopping!

Basically he hadn't eaten in two days only drinking coffee, working and school. I made sure he ate before we left my parents house.

I LOVE the salvation army on hall road, there is one on  33 mile and van dyke but no where as big or nice.

RNY on 10/21/08 with
Jan- we have a ton of thrift and consignment shops here.  Try Katies Closet on S. Airport.  Also, there's a thrift store by Sara Lee off Cass.  Turn like you're going to Sara Lee, then it will be onthe right - right behind McDonalds off S Airport.  I also like the consignment shop in Logans Landing on S. Airport, and there's a nicer, more upscale consignment shop on Barlow, just down the road on the opposite side of the road from the Post office.  Then of course the Women's resource center, goodwill and Salvation Army.  There's also a decent consignment shop on 8th St east of Garfield.  I know there's a few more thrift shops I haven't been to....

I really like the Salvation Army in Brighton too - only problem with that one is, they don't have their clothes by sizes.  Since they have so many, its almost impossible to go through each rack to find your size... and the racks are so packed its hard to even see whats on them.  I did find some good deals on coats there though!

I've been to a couple of these.  Will definitely try the others.  I know what you're saying about the Salvation army.  They do the clothes by color rather than size.  Goodwill does them by size and it's much better/easier to find what you want.  Thanks for the tips.  I also picked up a brochure from the visitors center on thrift shops and they had 12 or 14 listed.
I got a leather jacket from penney's on sale and paid $30.00 brand new, so I didn't mind that, regularly it was $100.  I got a top at Kohls at 90% off, and paid 3.60 (also brand new)  Love those sales.  I bought a new bathing suit from Sams Club that has the little shorts bottom so it covers my saggy upper thigh skin.  I don't love it, but I've never loved myself in a bathing suit.  I do love the water and floating on an air mattress, so I'll bite the bullet and put one on.  If you don't like what you see, don't look!
It's going to be a beautiful week up here!  Sunny and mid to upper 30's.  Yay, spring is just around the corner.
