Thursday Morning Coffee
Good morning everybody!
It's getting closer to the weekend and time to rise and shine! What is your fuel this morning? Decaf in the cup as always!!
Talking about some warmer weather on the horizon :-)
QOTD-Finish this sentence. I'm so gullable, I was (or my kids were) told this _________ and I (they)believed it.
We told our kids that lobsters screamed when you put them in boiling water. So, when we bought live lobsters and got ready to boil them, the kids would run out of the room with their ears covered.....
It was cute..
Have a good one!!

Good Morning, Deb and everyone! I'm wasting a few minutes on the computer before leaving for work, where I will waste more time on the computer! Superfruit smoothie in my glass, as usual.
QOTD-this is kind of long, so bear with me: My son was in 5th grade and had just finished the D.A.R.E. program at school. He got a certificate and a T-shirt he was so proud of. Well, one of the "bad" kids at school taught him a "secret handshake" where you hold your fingers up to your mouth (simulating smoking a joint). My son had no idea it was anything bad, so he was saying goodbye to his friends after his D.A.R.E. grad party, and he did that! In front of everyone! And I was the PTA President! So, we took him in the car and yelled at the poor kid, and took away his T-shirt and certificate and told him the D.A.R.E. officer saw him do that and said he was on probation until he was 15. Just the other day we were talking about that and laughing. My son, who is now 15, couldn't believe we made that up! To this day, he believed that the Westland Police were watching him and he didn't really graduate from the program. I guess I shouldn't have told him the truth....that's probably what has kept him out of major trouble so far!
Anyway, hope you all have a great day!

Half-Caff as usual. Ready to head to the hospital to see if dad is getting out today.
Brenda,in California, DARE stands for Drugs Are Really Expensive. Probably shouldn't tell him that either.
I'm so gullible that I believe spring will bring an end to snow on my deck.
As an aside, my cardiologist has finally taken me off the medication that was slowing and steadying my atrial fibrillation and is having me wear a monitor for three weeks. If that goes well, he will take me off Coumadin as well. That means NO MORE PRESCRIPTION DRUGS, all due to wls. I'm not ready to throw the celebration yet, but it is finally on the horizon.

Good Morning !
Yes, it is getting closer to the weekend, can't wait ! Get to clean house and pack for our trip to Florida next week. Since I haven't worn any of my regular clothes since surgery I need to see what feels comfortable and what doesn't. I don't want to spend my whole vacation in my comfy workout clothes but if the rest aren't comfortable I will. I think they should be by now, I just have no reason to put them on. When you work out of your house nobody cares what you are wearing (yes, I am spoiled) When I used to work in town I dressed up during day then came home and put on jeans, now I work in comfy clothes and when DH gets home I get more dressed up, had to change up the routine a little bit. I did dress up twice while we were in Florida last weekend, put on dress pants and nice top to go to dinner with his group but that was it, comfy clothes all the rest of the time. (thank goodness my work hasn't installed any of those cameras where they can look at me whenever they want LOL )
QOTD - I can't think of anything on this one, I know there were times we did things like that but it has been a long time.
Have a safe day !

Good morning everyone.
Just finished my breakfast. My new favorite is taking a carbmaster yogurt, chopping up a banana and throwing in a little bit if fiber one. It ends up being about 240 calories and is very filling and good.
QOTD: I can't think of anything off of the top of my head but I am a very gullable person. Believe everything I am told.
Have a great day everyone!

LOL - you are funny Edie! And you are welcome for the note. You made an impression on me right from the beginning :-)

Good morning all -
Isn't it lovely to start the day with sunshine? Now I'll take some 70-degree weather to go along with that sun. Started my day with a glass of crystal light, then protein tea, then a fake latte.... like normal.
Group therapy session tonight. Hoping not to bawl like a baby again this week and give others a chance to actually talk a bit without Pam hogging all the time. I'm actually feeling much better emotionally this week and have a feeling that sleep deprivation was a big contributor to last week's crap.
QOTD -- I can't really think of any time that I've been gullable on something. I'm sure it's happened, just can't think of anything.
